god is awesome concept...it gives hope , individual develops personal belonging to it , it help humans keep going , it adds meaning to life of just another species...is god biggest invention done by humans till date?
I have always said that I think religion was the biggest conspiracy ever pulled off my the human race, and I honestly believe that.
So it proves that it is very natural for human beings to belive in the Creator-God; and it is very un-natural not to believe in Him.
but it has worked since centuries..isn't it?
I guess that would depend on what you consider "worked"?
It has managed to keep people ignorant.
It has managed to keep people divided.
It has managed to keep the human species alive as a collective civilization.
If that is what you mean it has worked. Then sure.
However, it's now becoming detrimental to the rest of society/humanity as a whole.
well but it has worked in positive manners too...like giving meaning to life as they say "purpose" , keeping humans going in bad times , keeping hope alive...in end all die but believers can die with illusion...
All appearances, brought forth by those who usurped higher authority positions, so as to convince the masses.
Meaning is obtained by one's actions.
Purpose is decided by the individual, not granted.
Appearance only.
Hope cannot die.
True enough, but useless to the rest of humanity.
What a pity more people fail to understand their own life.
it is not more people it is most people...and till most get into stage of more to less to nil...god would remain...
God is not, in my opinion, an invention of humans. Our perception of the nature of the divine is. Man has a tendency to let his imagination run wild, when short on facts. One little piece of truth, wrapped in a ton of bs. If you remove the bs, you still have that grain of truth left.
No, I think the Internet is the biggest invention ever.
I think it will have the greatest impact on the evolution of our society.
People from all over the world, who probably would never have met each other, chatting on a thread.
Nothing could be bigger than that.

Is this the biggest sweet potato that you have ever seen? That is a normal sized apple sitting next to it in the photograph which I took. The sweet potato tipped the scales right at 2 pounds and 7 ounces when it was officially weighed.
