San Francisco 49ers 2011 and the NFC West

   In the NFC West, I think the 49ers have mainly improved with their head coach.  I'm not sure that they've actually improved at other positions.  I think they'll be close to the playoffs, but not quite make it.
   
   The Rams, and Seattle should be better this year - I suspect one of them will actually go to the playoffs with a winning record.  I'm really interested to see if Matt Leinart can get his career on track under Carrol.  Looking forward to the season to start.

   I have to agree with your assessment of the 49'ers. I think Seattle will slip some with the QB change, but not  much.
   I am interested to see how Kevin Kolb can do with the Cardinals offense. If he can get in sync quickly, the Cards make reclaim the West.

   Looks like the Leinart report of him going to Seattle was wrong.  He signed with Texas a two year deal over $5M.  He'll be the backup.  I thought he was a very good game manager in college.  I want to see him be an everyday QB to see what he can do.
   
   Good point on the Cards.  They're definitely better with Kolb.  I keep watching espn to hear if the 49ers make a move.

      LOL, I keep my TV on NFL Network. I am hoping the Cowboys will do something. This is so unlike Jerry Jones. Wondering what  he has up his sleeve.
      I thought Leinart was set for Seattle. Hmmm, he could learn a lot at the Texans. Their offense would be a good fit for him if he gets a chance.

      Matt is for sure one of the hottest NFL players..  off the field that is! And he obviously likes it that way. .  Leinart chose more money in Houston over a chance to start in Seattle. What does that say about a player?
      
      Will be interesting to see if he tries to rehab his his value as a QB (that is if he ever gets in the lineup!). If not at least he will give alot of women a good reason to watch the NFL as he sits on the sidelines

   seahawks got worse! they cut tutupo and got a down grade at qb. Sydney rice will help but dont count them getting over 6 wins! I think the cards will get 7-9 wins this year and battle with the rams for the divison!!!

   Seems like the NFC West can be won with a 500 record. Maybe staying healthy is the key to winning this division.

   looks like the 49ers just picked up Braylon Edwards   I just read that they signed a $1 million, one-year contract Thursday, and that the contract jumps to $3.5 million if Edwards records a 90-catch or Pro Bowl season, according to a league source.
   
   well at  least now I have a reason to root for your 49ners even though it will be the Jets with or without Edwards bringing Vince home!!!

   The 49ers should -SHOULD, go 9-7.  I think they're the most talented team in the NFC West, which is -coincidentally, the weakest division in the NFL.  But if Alex Smith can live up to SOME of his potential, they already have a game-breaker at WR, a stud at TE, a healthy and happy Frank Gore -not to mention the pick up of Braylon Edwards, they can and should score points.  I'm not sure how Seattle is better with Travaris Jackson at QB, Arizona still can't run the ball and the Rams already can't seem to stay healthy.  Should be interesting in the Not-so-Wild-NFC West.

      Wrong about AZ running the ball.  Beanie Wells had a good game Sunday and now that they have a legit QB again the passing game will open up the running game.
