Speaking of kitties, I have a happy story to tell.
We have an outdoor (stray) cat that we've kinda adopted.  But we have other cats and can't let her in the house.  Well, she got pregnant and had 4 beautiful kittens a week ago.  We had gotten her a little doggie carrier, put it near the corner of our house and turned it into a place for her to have her babies.   She kept them in there until they started crawling out, then she moved them to a place right behind there;  then today I went out to feed her and the kitties were GONE!  My heart sank.   But I watched her for a while, and it turns out she had moved them over behind our garage under a pile of plastic drainpipe, where they couldn't crawl away so easily.

We'll have to find homes for them after they're weaned.  I dread that.  Would love to keep 'em all, but we don't live in the country...

You're welcome to one or all. smile
There's only 3 now.  One of them died a few nights ago.  I think it could've been because it crawled out of the carrier but I dunno why after that.  It's pretty common to lose one of a litter.  But I imagine that's why the mama moved them.  Maternal instinct, trying to get them to a safer place.
