Having flagged a number of hubs over the last couple of months mainly due to inappropriate numbers of outbound links to the same source I have recently gone back and checked on some of those hubs- and they are still published!
Is hubpages ignoring flags on hubs now?
It's not much encouragement for us to take time to flag hubs for various reasons
I noticed the same thing awhile ago. some shocking hubs weren't removed despite flagging. No wonder the google slap came in.
Surely HP should be learning lessons and culling those hubs?
But have the hubs been revised?
A violation isn't an automatic reason for unpublishing a hub if the violation is corrected.
Nope they haven't been revised
I flagged two hubs which had at least 4 outbound links to the same website and they've still remained published John
@2uesday-The irony is that these are not hubs published within 24 hours of a hubber joining the site but actually from an established hubber that has double figure numbers of hubs.
If they cannot cope with the quantity then it might be worth a time delay between sign up and publishing if only 24 hours. Hopefully some of the bizarre attempts at free publicity might be reduced by something like that.
Not wanting to distract from your topic, which I have to agree with it does make you feel as if you are wasting your time.
The queue to review flagged Hubs is long enough that it takes about a week for them to get to things that only have one flag. When lots of people report a problem, that bumps it up.
If someone has created a lot of hubs that violate the TOS, it's better to flag their account for review. That seems to get a faster response for users who are making lots of bad content.
That's good to know. I have flagged overly promotional or substandard hubs, but I was hesitant to flag an account.

You all know the hubs I'm referring to, right? The hubs with pictures of beautiful women from India, Pakistan, etc., and a dozen or more links to sites for "the belly button" or whatnot?I flag these, either as low quality or adult -- but isn't there something that can be done to...

Do you often flag content on HubPages?I see a few hubs everyday that are in English, but poorly written. I hate to flag a hub if someone is just trying to start on HP, but I don't like reading poorly written hubs! What are your thoughts?

In a thread a few days ago, a discussion began about accounts which have been here quite some time and have a lot of published hubs that are noticeably breaking Hubpages ToS. Despite the accounts being flagged repeatedly, the accounts and most of their hubs still remain. The staff answer to the...

See http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/68780#post1504935I read the post, read his profile and then his first two hubs,It's OBVIOUS he didn't write them and if you copy the first paragraphs from them and paste them into Google you will immediately find the real owners.Yet there is NOTHING under the...

Ok I am at my end! I seem to be having an issue with HP. Everytime I flag something I end up getting flagged. Yesterday I published my 2nd part in a 3 part series on Jeffrey Dahmer. Ads were taken and I was fine with that considering he killed people, even though I see plenty of serial killer hubs...

Okay- I'm about tired of this. Hub Hopping today and 4 sex hubs came through. 2 for escort services including phne #'s, one about sex toys with every other word as vibrator and anal sex, and one with sex photos and a link to escort. How is it that these Hubs are getting approved? I flagged each of...
