Traffic stat currently shows page views for a day, week and month. It provides a pattern of page views for individual hubs. Hubbers have more interest in daily page views than ever or monthly. I suggest to insert a column showing average daily page views based on weekly monthly or long term daily averages. It would give idea to individual hubber for changes on day to day basis. Best way to do this may be the daily average based on averages from total (ever) views.
I'll second that! good suggestion. It would also be nice to see, perhaps on your profile page, the traffic graph for all your hubs together, not just by going to each one individually!
Is that not what the profile graph shows? It certainly isn't just profile views...
I would have to disagree. Daily stats are good for new hubs, but in general the 30 day and ever columns I find more useful overall.
I do check daily averages over a month; just divide the 30 day column by 30. Not hard and I'm not looking for an exact figure - just a rough estimate.
In Google Analytics, which you can hook up to HubPages (and I STRONGLY recommend it), they have this bit called "Intelligence" which shows traffic changes.
For example, yesterday, the amount of time people from New York spent on my hubs nearly tripled.
It shows all sorts of cool things like that and you can even set your own goals, per hub even, and see where you're at for that goal.

I don't know if you have used this app before, but I believe it's worth a shot.Just 2 days ago I witnessed a sudden increase in views in one of my Hubs. I mean, hundreds of views, almost a thousand at this point. When I took a look at the traffic source, I saw it was Stumbleupon that made...

Traffic has fallen to maybe 20% of what it was. Now I have loads of articles with zero daily views. Am I going to be penalised by HP and have them shifted to Discover, not because it's my fault, but because the sites are badly rated by Google now?

I think there is an urgent need to change the term "engagement" to "traffic". The reason? The new "Not Featured - engagement" feature has been in place only a few days, and already we're seeing posts on the forums from upset Hubbers.I can understand that...

I think it would be useful to have a column added to the statistics page that shows the total number of shares for each hub (Tweets and Facebook likes). There is not enough room to add two columns. So this could be a sum of all tweets and all Facebook likes in one column labeled "Shares"....

Does browsing my own hubs add to the number of page views in my statistics?

Do you check your hub statistics daily or weekly?
