How often are the stats on my referral tracker updated?

Hi all.  I tried using my referral tracking token for the first time yesterday.  I posted a link to one of my Hubs on Facebook, and a number of my Facebook friends went and read the article. The only thing is, my referral tracker on HubPages still says I have zero everything, no traffic views, no signups, no hubs, and no traffic to hubs. I believe it's been at least 24 hours.  Does it just take a long time for HubPages to load those stats or or is something wrong?

I tried following the instructions for adding my tracking token exactly. The hub I was sharing was  http://audreydawn.hubpages.com/hub/Care … Understand and my default referral token is 2f8pvnb5c6q0u. The link I put up on Facebook is http://audreydawn.hubpages.com_2f8pvnb5 … Understand

I used copy and paste for everything so I know the token was as it appeared on my referral tracker page. If someone can give me any insight I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much!

Right now, both; there are stats problems. But usually it's just the former.

You are missing a slash between the "com" and the underline.  It should be:

      ...audreydawn.hubpages.com/_2f8pvnb5 …

If that link you gave was copy/pasted from FB, your friends didn't use it to go anywhere as it doesn't work.  Just sayin'

Takes me to the hub, and I assume with the tracker code on my visit.

Thanks wilderness, that's what the problem was.  Facebook automatically filled in an article link complete with a picture from my hub the minute I copied and pasted the link from my hubpage. Apparently the Facebook generated link stayed good even after I made my failed attempt at adding my referral token, which messed up my version of the link.  I didn't realize that I'd messed up since people were still reading my hub without any problems, thanks to Facebook's little auto generated link feature, whatever you call it. I really appreciate the help. Now I know to watch for that little typo when adding my referral token in the future.

It depends on how you work it in FB.  If you copy the link (without the tracker) and paste it into FB it will auto generate a picture and link, but without the tracker in it.  When you then add the tracker to the link you pasted it doesn't change the auto generated one.  If you then delete the auto generated one, but not the one you pasted/edited FB will delete it and immediately re-post it with the tracker intact this time.  At that point you can delete the one you pasted, leaving the auto generated one and making a better looking post.

Or you can just get the link with tracker imbedded by using the button at the bottom of the hub.

Wow, that is awesome. Thanks so much for the tip.  I just tried it and it works great. Better yet, I'm now seeing traffic views showing up in my referral tracker page.  Thank you again for all the great information!

You're welcome.  Glad it all came together for you.
