I am seeking advice from Hubbers or Staff on placement for a Quiz capsule I want to insert in an existing hub. It is a hub about a medical skin condition.
I am trying to figure if I should place the Quiz capsule after all of the informational text and before the added images in the lower half of the page or at the very end after all images. { Which could make the quiz capsule overlooked.}
I have even thought about a quiz capsule early in the hub so readers could test their initial knowledge before reading and hope this would encourage readers to read to see the reasons for the correct or incorrect answers.
I cannot link the hub since it would be promotional, but it is on Tinea Versicolor. {For those I know would prefer to see it before giving their suggestion}
Suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
Well, I don't use those much, but I know I hate to see one before learning what it's asking. Those, I won't even bother taking.
Unless the photos are adding actual information, I would probably put it on top of the photos, not at the very end where, as you say, it will not be seen.
Thanks. You point makes a lot of sense. The photos do add visible information, but the text gives the information also.
I recommend floating the Quiz Capsule to the right of one of your higher-up Text Capsules. It can catch the attention of visitors before they bounce, thus keeping them on your page longer (and if they want to return to it after reading your full Hub, they'll stay on the page even longer).
I also recommend dispersing your photos throughout the Hub (if you have not already). Grouping them together makes sense sometimes, but it's best to not have all text and then a bunch of photos. People like to see media early and often!
So glad you're taking the Quiz Capsule for a spin. It has really aided the success of many of my Hubs!
Thanks Simone. You make a good point also. I do have images dispersed throughout the hub. I added extra photos below the main text so I could have full size images. When one searches on this subject online, all you get is the same images over and over again. I took images from my own break-out of this condition to make the hub more personal and hopefully believable to readers.
I have added the Quiz capsule after the text area and before extra images. The Quiz capsule was easy to set up. Hope it helps with the hub.

Someone told me that they thought the following hub of mine:http://hubpages.com/hub/High-End-Acoust … latpickersHad a lot of potential, and that I should submit it here. So I'm doing so, and hopefully I'm doing so correctly. I haven't been hanging out in the forum, but I think I...

I don't see where else to place this issue--I don't think it's exactly a "bug," but more of a change that was made???At any rate, the problem is, it used to be that when you clicked on any photo in any hub, it would open the photo alone in a new temporary window without taking you away...

Thank you to everyone who reported problems with the photo capsule. A new release just went out that fixed a big issue with Internet Explorer that was causing all kinds of problems and understandable stress for a number of users. I apologize for this, especially because it took so long to track it...
