For those unemployed, I am starting a blog post on HubPages called Life after Employment.
Many people believe it is the financial strain that leaves the unemployed hopeless.  I am here to tell you that it is also the many different emotional rollercoasters that ensue along with the financial burden.
If you are unemployed, soon to be unemployed, or underemployed, feel free to post any message that you believe will be a mental boost for others.

No response, netq32... You're approaching it the wrong way, my friend! Most hubbers are unemployed (don't tell them that though)big_smile but they don't realize it because they're too busy writing online, which in turn makes them money, which might not be enough to make a living but... hey, at least they're doing something productive, right?

I am confused (this is not unusual). I went to your hub/blog. There is no comments section to post on.

    I only work part-time so I guess you could say i was part-time unemployed...lol

I guess that would make you underemployed?  Would you rather work full-time?

Depends if there was an opening full-time on day shift.

I stopped being a wage slave to go freelance translating. I've ended up working far more than in employment, but would not go back to stupid managers etc.

Unemployment sucks, and almost as worse is the uneven distribution of negotiating power between employer and employee regarding wages and conditions.

    Good luck with your Hub.

I went back. It is indeed set as a blog, i.e. last post first. Not sure that is right as to HP format. It will confuse people. I'd recommend chrono with this title:

“Comments – Chronological for now, but...”

Depends... I just don't really know here. Target audience and target viability to start...

Edit: My marketing skills have sucked so far...

As you can tell, very new to this.  Not sure after glancing where I need to change this.  Was not able to do so in the comment editing capsule.  Ughhh.

    Yeeeeehhhhhh! I found a niche!

I was terminated from my much-loved job the end of April (not due to cutbacks if you get my drift). I sunk into depression for a week, filed for unemployment, was approved for benefits (thank God!) and am now working a small part-time job in the same field of work.  Best of all, I can still draw partial unemployment as long as I continue to make the required job contacts per week.
I worry a lot.  I waste my days sometimes. I'm only getting maybe 3-15 hours per week of work, but at least I'm doing something. I'm behind on payments, but I'm surviving. Getting ready to hold a big estate sale for more income. Maybe listing a few items to sell here and there.

Did you know there is money in scrap metal? Hubby goes through the junkyard at home (refer to my hub about decorating with junk) and takes in a load for an extra hundred bucks or more. Aluminum cans are $$.  Have a garage sale!  I don't count on online writing for income, if I did, I'd be starved. My only advice it to get out there and create an income any way you can (legally!)

Thanks for the niche comment!!!!!  Love it!!!!!
Worry probably should be one of the stages.  Hope the estate sale goes well.
I put some clothes in the consignment shop and am having a garage sale myself.  Never hurts to downsize, money to boot is the bonus.

I hear so many people complain about being unemployed, not making enough at their job, or just plain hating their job. If you are one of those people, then why don't you do something about it? I did. I was and still am a stay at home mom, but when my husband lost his job, I had to find something to help out. After looking for a long time, I finally found something I can do from home. I bet most of you have never thought about working from home. I do online marketing for fortune 500 companies. It's very easy to do and I make a great income with it. I can work when I want(day or night), save on gas and travel and even sleep in before I start working.  Instead of complaining about not finding work or not having enough money, take control of your financial future. Do something about it NOW! What are you waiting for? It's Free, so why not check it out? Contact me(Kathy) at kats642@gmail.com and I will be happy to give you more details.
