Today we are launching a new mobile Hub design.  There are more details on the blog.

I hope you love it as much as we do!

It looks really good, will have to check out the ads yet....but so far it is very friendly!

OK, had a look on a smartphone and the profile and hubs look great! I can see there is a need to break the text up more though (for example I had a large text block with pics down the right side and in mobile this is a GIANT text block with about 6 pics underneath. Still, people can read it about 120% better than before and that's what is very important.

It now shows individual views per hub only but not the total views for all the hubs in the stat section as it used to be in the previous version. Is it really so or I am missing something.

I think it looks great!  The hubs look very nice with pics and videos.  The only problem I've noticed is that when I click on a YT video, it brings up a screen with more choices and I can't get the video to play.   I've tried it on a few of my hubs.

  8. Paul Edmondson profile imageSTAFF
    Paul Edmondsonposted 10 years ago

Thanks RebekahElle - Can you post a link to the hub with issues and info about the device you're using?

I posted the links above. I still have the problem on my mobile device. Any help?

    I tried a few.  http://rebekahelle.hubpages.com/hub/Max … gest-Songs

    http://rebekahelle.hubpages.com/hub/Hea … d-Toddlers

    I'm using a HTC Sensation, 4G at home with a wi-fi connection.
When I click the red arrow on the video it goes to a screen with the next two video choices.

I don't have a smart phone.  Is there a way to view the mobile layout of currently published hubs?

    1. paradigmsearch profile image58
paradigmsearchposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Click preview (in edit mode), then click mobile.

I don't know if I am looking at a desktop or mobile version of HP on my tablet. Can anyone tell me how to switch between the 2? Forgot.

Unless I am missing it somewhere, the new stats page layout no longer has the "graph" button. Was that just inadvertently been overlooked with the new design? Or was it dropped for some reason. Really would be nine to have that back. It's useful to have a visual graph of how we are doing.

I still haven't stumbled across where the widget critter went. Not a big deal though; I can still glom it off one of my websites.

You can get the widget at the bottom of this page:

Paul, That's not what I was referring to in my previous comment. Those widgets are just banners.

I'm talking about the button that gives us the graph of our views. The button was called "graph" and it was on the stats page before the page was changed yesterday.

          1. pauldeeds profile imageSTAFF
pauldeedsposted 10 years agoin reply to this

My reply was to paradigmsearch's comment about the widget.

The graphs were intentionally dropped from my account, but we hope to replace them with something similar when we can.  Unfortunately, for accounts with significant history and traffic the graphs as they were had performance problems, meaning they took a long time to generate and put a heavy load on our database servers.

            1. Glenn Stok profile image96
Glenn Stokposted 10 years agoin reply to this

I guess we got our wires crossed Paul, because paradigmsearch had replied to my post about the graph button. But all is well. As a programmer myself, I perfectly understand the issue about the graph placing a heavy load on the server. I'll miss it, but I understand. Thanks for the explanation.

Hey, HP. My Adsense is positively screaming at me (in a good way) about all the mobile visitors I am now getting. Looks like you guys have really hit a home run here.

In the stats section on mobile, I'm not seeing total numbers over the last  24-hour period.  I see it broken down by Hub, but not the total.  Am I missing it somewhere or is it no longer available?

We've been working on it. I'll check on Monday to see where we are.

Uh-oh. My AdSense for months, if not years (?), has always said my revenue optimization was 4 or 5 blue dots. It is  now at 2 blue dots and a red, down arrow. Also does this tie into the other thread, http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/118571 ?

  19. paradigmsearch profile image58
    paradigmsearchposted 10 years ago

Hark, everyone! The AdSense Revenue Optimization status is back to 4 blue dots, with Health and Plus remaining at the full 5.

That is amazing. Mobile compatible website is a 'must' specially since so many people are using internet through their mobile devices. It is predicted that in 2014 mobile internet usage will eclipse desktop internet usage.
