Senator Zell Miller bashed President Obama for overspending and being weak on terror.
Miller told a group of conservative legislators that President Obama’s decision to close the Guantanamo Bay Prison was “nuts.”
He spoke at The American Legislative Exchange Council’s annual meeting in Atlanta today.
The 2,000 mostly Republican state lawmakers applauded as Miller criticized the administration on all fronts. He said, "Today we’re spending like we’re Paris Hilton, regulating like we’re Ralph Nader, nationalizing like we’re Hugo Chavez, printing money like we’re the Weimar Republic," Miller said. The former U.S. Senator was also critical of Obama's recent overseas trips saying he should quit gallivanting all around the globe and fix problems in the U.S.
Tell me, who got us in this mess?
Maybe some day you will wake up and see who...
I'm waiting to see if Papa Obama is going to be able to say "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?" like Regan did in 1984. My guess is no.
Danger Will Robinson!
(Runs for the hills!) Be prepared for this thread to explode...
Zell Miller is right on - we are heading towards socialism with the new administration.
I agree completely with him, and I wonder if you could bring some logic to bear on why you don't, instead of the very convincing "shut up!"
No offense, but my one of my biggest pet peeves is criticism with no backup, whether conservative or liberal.
He is a Georgia Senator, he was a Governor in Georgia back in the early 90's that lied and said he would not run for a 2nd term (a true politican). Although a member of the Democratic Party, Miller backed Republican former President Bush over Democratic nominee John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election and since 2003 has frequently criticized the Democratic Party, and has publicly supported several Republican candidates.
Now in the 90's Miller said that Bush "just doesn't get it," and his remarks about Dan Quayle:
"We can't all be born rich, and handsome, and lucky, and that's why we have a Democratic Party."
Then in 2000, during the campaign to keep his seat as senator, Miller praised, now former presidential Bush, and promised to work for bipartisanship in the Senate.
That is the reason I said "Senator Zell Miller SHUT UP"
Now you form your own opinion of him!
He's a conservative Democrat. Makes sense that he's speaking out against socialist policies. Why does he have to "shut up"?

It is an example of the hypocrisy of the left. They believe they protect black people, except for black conservatives. I know black conservatives who have been lectured by white, female, liberals about being black. If a white liberal says anything racist about a black...

I am taken back to the site 'unskewed polls' where the conservatives were saying that the mainstream polling system was unfairly skewed in favor of Mr. Obama. So, I bet I could not find them now anywhere among all the bits and bites of the internet. Maybe you guys can add to this most interesting,...
