I've got eBay set up with my Greekgeek account. I just tried to copy and paste my eBay affiliate code to a secondary account, but when I went into "Configure" and chose the "set up" button for the eBay program, it took me straight to a form I have to fill out to apply to become an eBay partner.
Is there someplace to plug in our affiliate number and bypass the application process, and I'm just not seeing it?
I confirmed that you do have to apply for each account.
Here's the link to your overall settings page (for whoever you are logged in as), https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/
Let us know if you can drop those settings straight in or not.
Hey... correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember right, the only way to participate in the eBay affiliate program was via HP's ad program - isn't it?
Here's a link to a screenshot of my Earnings settings page of this my original account. I don't see any configure option. So I'm guessing you're stuck with the HP ad program on this.

Look at the module on the right in blue on this page: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/sign … er-network it states "Those Hubbers not in the HubPages Earnings Program cannot run the eBay Program." So, I'm now sure you can't add your own eBay affiliate ID.
To be clear: I'm not trying to add an external eBay partner ID.
I'm trying to set up my imported-from-Squidoo Hubpages account to work like the Greekgeek account.
The Greekgeek account has been configured and active in the various Hubpages Earnings Programs for several years. Now, like many Squidoo members, I have to create new accounts when my lenses get ported over.
It sounds like from Paula that we can't simply configure the secondary account's eBay settings to match the one we've already gotten approved with eBay, but must instead apply to eBay for approval with each and every account? In that case, I have to do it four times, at least until/if I do some consolidating, and won't be able to apply to eBay on the secondary accounts until the lenses are ported over.
It didn't make sense to me that once I'd gone through the approval process with one Hubpages account, I'd have to start from scratch and do it again with the rest. That seemed like having to apply to Google Adsense again each time you create a new blog or open a new HP account.
But if that is the correct procedure, then I'll do it.
I'm checking to see what the preferred procedure is and if there is a way to add the existing info from another account. I will let you know what I find.
UPDATE: See response here.

I went through the system again and got approved within a couple of days. Wasn't aware that you could do it any other way.
Oh I thought you wanted to use your own personal affiliate ID.
As per the rules, for every subdomain you need to be approved in order to use it. So sadly, you're going to need to do just that.
Your points are valid, but I didn't see a way around it when I applied. I have two other accounts as well besides the original lakeerieartists one.
I have been holding off on entering affiliate codes into my own new accounts precisely because they have no content.
I added it to both of my new accounts which one has two new hubs only and another had none when I applied. Both were approved. Not sure if they can tell that I am the same person or not.
Thanks, Matthew!
I guess I'll wait until the lenses have migrated, just to make sure eBay's reps have got stuff to look at (or, likely as not, fail to look at, but they'll say, "Yep, this person has stuff.")

Even though I tried to associate my Google adsense account with hubpages earnings program, the Ad program, eBay program and Amazon program are still inactive. However, my external affiliate settings are active. Why is it so?

Hi everyone,I am trying to configure Amazon in 'External Affiliate Settings' although it looks like I do not have this option. It only seems to be an option under 'HubPages Earnings Program Settings'. Does anyone else have this problem or am I doing something totally wrong? Any help would be...

Hi. I'm new to HubPages and recently published my first hub. I've opted for the HubPages Earnings Program but noticed that the sign-up process is still incomplete. Apparently, I'm also supposed to associate a Google Adsense account. I don't have one and was of the impression that the ads would be...
