At one time the Callout capsule accepted HTML coding.
Having just updated said capsule on a Hub, it now appears to no longer work. Is this a bug or an intentional decision by HP?
Thanks!
The Callout capsule did not exist on HubPages prior to Squidoo content being transferred. We added support for this capsule for all Hubs. It does not support entering HTML and this was by design.
If you would like to suggest a feature be added for this capsule, you can do so here.

Okay, thanks!
I must have had the HTML grandfathered in when my articles from Squidoo transferred over. I have several which contain live links (and I've noticed other Hubs such as the Military Diet one which has its text enlarged through the use of the h2 tag).
It seems when you edit the capsule the HTML is stripped away
Yes, there are some formatting from Squidoo that did come over in a close to the original. We made some decisions about what feature of callouts to use. Some other capsules do support HTML to a limited extent, but most tags are stripped when saved.
Added: Here is a bit more about that capsule in the Learning Center as well.

It should also be noted that the <h2> tag you noticed in the Military Diet Hub can be accomplished without inserting any HTML. All you simply need to do is create a new Callout capsule, and fill in the "Capsule Subtitle" field (and leave the Text portion blank).

As part of the Squidoo asset purchase, we're excited to incorporate some of the best-performing practices from Squidoo into HubPages. They've always had us beat in Amazon sales, and we're pleased to announce that we're adopting their Amazon product design.Squidoo has done extensive testing on their...

There has been a lot of discussion in the last few days about HP changing the rules and people being un-featured or even un-published for spam and over promotional activity. So I just want to add my thoughts......Whether people (writers) like it or not most of their traffic will be coming from...

I'm 100% on the side of doing a proper beta test and taking time to make sure every kind of lens transfers with ease - from the small simple ones to the big long complex ones - like mine! I'm less bothered by WHEN my lenses transfer to HubPages than I am about WHETHER they all transfer intact -...

I think I know something about writing articles. I created a new hub yesterday. HubPages took 24 hours before declaring, in one of their mystery messages, that it was of sufficient quality. You know what? It was too good. I deleted it and will now easily place it elsewhere and earn with it.No...

It would be nice to add links to merchandise from HubPages articles - same as the Amazon capsule.

According to Paul Deeds' forum post, transfers of articles on Squidoo are beginning today. Has anyone had their account transferred yet? If so, how did it go?http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/123836? … ost2621573
