I don't know how folks with over 1K hubs keep track!

I have just over 300, and I'm finding that as I go to publish a new article, lo and behold, I find I've written virtually the same article before!!!

This has happened in recent days with a few of my poems I did not realize I had already put up on the site way back when.

Some days, I'm lucky to remember my own name, let alone what I published 4 years ago!  Further confusing the issue, is I'm publishing the new posts in some cases with a revised title from what it had in my original hard copy.

This happened twice just today!  I hurriedly deleted the older copies, as I found better photos to accompany, but I'm concerned as to what will happen if I miss some.
Get booted from HP?  Get dissed by Google?  Get a severe reprimand?  I'm quaking in my boots, here!  wink

Do you mean when you duplicate it, it contains the same content with same sequence of facts or ideas repeated with mostly the same words and sentences?
If you write same topic in different manner with no matching of lines and sequence exactly as in previous post, then you should not be worrying much. Because, you can present a same topic ina different sense with new phrases and sentences, probably including different images and links, if any.
You should look at this rather than worrying.

Yes, I mean that they are the exact same poems which I forgot I had already published under a different title.  That is absolutely duplicate content.

Oh Lizzy... you're at it again... don't you remember what happened the last time you did this? big_smile

I've found that if one has a problem with their right hand not knowing what their left hand is up to at times like this, often the best thing to do is to tie their hands together. That way they don't allow their arms to make rash decisions!  smile

It's okay if you can identify the articles and take one set down. It would pay you to start grouping your hubs on a theme basis, x link them and always Check your Group themes Before you start writing to ensure that you cure yourself of your recidivist behaviour  tongue MsL

I do have my hubs in groups; MANY groups!  I even have my poems subdivided into theme groups.
However, I was trying to scroll through my whole list of 300+ articles on my account page.  Thanks for the suggesting of looking in the groups!(But--I'm not sure how to x-link them...)

Now why didn't I think of that??!!  **Flogging self with a wet noodle!**

Does anyone know if duplicates can be found on google docs? Cause I wrote a poem in google docs and tried to post it on here and it was marked as a duplicate, I'm just curious because I like to write my drafts there and would hate if this were to happen more than once and I happen to get banned for my ignorance on it. Thank you!

Google Docs should not show as duplicate unless the are published for the public to view. If you are set as the only owner and others cannot read the Doc then there is no way for the dupe checker to "see" it either.

Your Hub is showing as a duplicate of this site.

I have just over 400 and find myself facing the same problem.  I guess it was such a good idea the first time we decided to do it again.
