I am aware of the QA. But is it after X views. Do they read all hubs who pass the QA and vote on the best ones. Does a HP algorithm selects them automatically? I think they are manually selected but... Can anyone shine some light on this matter? Thank youuu
Hi Stephan,
Hubs that score well with the QAP are then examined by our Editors to determine whether or not they should be designated EC. Sometimes our Editors also come across particularly good Hubs elsewhere on the site and they are able to designate those deserving Hubs EC.
Thank you so much for this awnser, it was exactly what I wanted to know.
So it works as I expected it would, it is a good system and gives Editors the freedom to recommend hubs they believe stand out from the rest.
Hello mister stephanpoe. I read once that editors choice needs to be in English. It needs to be unique. It has to have good content. It needs to be over1200 words. You need to have perfect unique pictures. Perfect grammar is a requirement. In other words spelling and punctuation needs to be perfect. Hub pages selects the editors choice hub. You need to read the hub learning center. Good luck with your question.
Hello miss erorantes. Thank you for your awnser but as I stated I am ware of the quality assessments. My question is a little bit more "internal" if you may. How do editors come to find the hubs they choose from.
I wonder whether there is also some kind of voting system taken into consideration based on the number of comments and ratings?

I had a hub that was receiving around 1,300-1,500 views per day. It was chosen as Editor's Choice. It then dropped by about 1,000 views per day. I opted out of the program, but that hub is no longer showing in Google for the keywords that brought it all the traffic before EC messed it up. How can I...

Just curious, one of my hubs, selected as a hub of the day some time ago has been my top performing one for quite a while. However, it does seem odd to me that hubs of the day are not automatically selected as Editors Choice Hubs as well! Anyone else ever wondered why this is? If not, would...

I had 11 Editors Choice hubs. I noticed today that I only have 10 of them now. I don't remember exactly which hub lost the EC status but I have a feeling it might be a hub that has become unfeatured due to engagement. If an EC hub becomes unfeatured due to engagement does it lose EC status? And if...

So I'm replying to a comment on my hub and upon scrolling through the hub (I always check for errors or how I can improve), I see the related hubs section. There are five hubs there including one of mine. What immediately got my attention is that the other four hubs has "editors choice"...

This morning I stumbled over more than a couple of "Editor's Choice" Hubs which are blatantly using images they do not appear to have the rights to use. Since HP is pushing Editor's Choice as the very best of this site, so much so that they are giving people who opt into the program some...

I make it a habit to count my EC hubs just to make sure none have gone missing. (OCD) This morning I was surprised to see one of mine lost its designation overnight. There were no edits to it and it still has the same 70 comments and 42 original pictures of a method and a recipe. The only...
