Hey everyone, I am a bit stuck when it comes to categorizing my hubs. The first 5 I have written are about roads to travel via motorcycle.
I cannot decide if they should be in Auto - Motorcycle Riding, Travel and Places, or Travel and places - road trips.
Maybe I am over thinking it, as originally I had them all in autos - motorcycle riding.
I am more or less trying to get to my target audience which is bikers, but also want to maximize exposure. The auto section does not have a lot of subscribers.
Take a look at my hubs and let me know what you think.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Hi there, Moto Roads, and welcome to Hub Pages!
I read your article on Satan's Switchbacks, and it is well done. (You might want to correct a typo in your movie reference, you have "Silence of the Lamps" instead of "Lambs.")
The article is well written, and interesting even to non-motorcycle folks for its descriptions of the area, scenic and historic highlights.
I would suggest you have it correctly placed, though, in the first category you mentioned, as you do have a lot of references specific to motorcyclists.
Additionally, you can, within your own account, create your own self-titled "groups," and from there, name a group anything you want, thereby narrowing down the field even more. You can then place your hub articles in your desired groups, as this is what drives the "next in this series" notice, seen at the ends of the hubs, that features additional hubs you have written.
That way, you can keep them in the group in which you want them seen and featured. (I have some re-arranging of my own to do in this area.)
Best wishes!
Lizzy, thank you so much for the input. typo corrected, good catch. I do not think the movie would have done as well if Lamps was the title .
My though was that they all belonged in the Auto - Motorcycle topic as well, but some reassurance from others sure helps.
Ben
Edward, thank you for the words of encouragement. If my articles inspire just one person to travel on their bike than I am happy. It's an amazing way to explore the world. It forces you to interact with nature and people in a whole new way. I hope you do some motorcycle trips of your own, and write about them here!

Quiz: When categorizing your hubs, what are the best ways to choose the correct topic? To make sure your hubs show up in search results with the correct category it is important to choose the right topic. Why is this so important? Hint: HubPages WEEKLY.

Just few hours back when I Logged In I got the message that my Hubs have not been categorized..Have you did that and what are all the benefits by doing so? Will it increase the traffic?

So far I have had only one hub sent to a niche site, the Holidappy niche. The hub is “Gifts for Men Craft Ideas,” and while it got traffic before Father’s Day, since then very little traffic. I think if it were in a more generic craft niche the traffic would be much improved. The...

How do I get one of those cool hub sub-categorizing tools that everyone seems to have. You know, the tool that breaks the hubs into categories like life, relationships, food, etc... I've looked for it in the helps and can't seem to find it. Be a friend

I know this is a common conundrum, and I can typically make the most of it after digging around in the hierarchy of categories or running creative searches. But this one has me stumped, as there's got to be a better place for it.I moved it from Science/genetics to family and...

So, have any of you seen that you have one or two topics that get more traffic and revenue? Have you considered writing more hubs on he same topic, if not the same basic idea just presenting it differently? Has it helped or hurt you? You're competing with yourself in a way, but did the older or...
