Need help with monetizing my blog

   Hi, please help. I have read up on how to monetize my blog. However, if I already belong to google adsense with hubpages, do I use the same google adsense ID, and if I do where do I find it?

      You create an ad unit in your Adsense account. Then you copy and paste the code where you want it on your blog.

         Log into your Adsense account, click on the My Ads tab at the top; on the next screen, you click on New Ad Unit at top. You then name your ad unit, choose a size, choose ad type and then click Save and Get Code. You'll be given the code for the ad which you copy and paste to your blog.
         
         Depending on your theme or plugins, and if you are using wordpress, you will have to click on Appearance if I remember correctly and find the spot where you insert your ad code.

            For posting ads on a wordpress site, I suggest you get the plugin called WP Insert; makes it easy to put ads where you want to on your blog.

                  No problem. Blogger is pretty easy, I think you just use the html widget and put your code into that or they might have a widget specifically for Adsense. They used to have a thing where you could just plug in your Adsense pub id and it would put ads on your site for you.

                     So there's no need of a widget that may, in the end, violate their guidelines. We all know how strict they are

   Warning - be sparing with Adsense ads - Google doesn't like it if you flood your blog with ads, and you won't be a success if Google doesn't like you!  NEVER put them in the banner above your posts. 
   
   Also, Adsense is not enough.  Skimlinks is worth investigating - but notice that it has two modes. One is that it creates automatic links in your posts:  unless your blog is on a very mainstream subject, that probably won't be very effective.  The other mode is where you create hyperlinks (either text or images) linking to merchant sites like Amazon or eBay, and Skimlinks will turn those into affiliate links, which means you'll get commission if someone buys.
   
   However the real money is further down the track and if you're serious, you should start planning for it now.  Set up a newsletter and invite your readers to sign up for it.  You can market stuff to them in the newsletters (e.g. ebooks, products related to your topic), but be careful not to annoy them - they have signed up to get an interesting newsletter, not to be sold to! 
   
   If your newsletter is a success and you get lots of subscribers (which will likely take you a couple of years), you can then start approaching advertisers, using the email list as evidence of your wonderful audience, and they'll be willing to pay for advertising on your blog and newsletter which will pay more, and more reliably, than Adsense.

      Thank you for the advise. I have a few ebooks at Smashwords and Amazon but still need to learn a lot about internet marketing. Especially about Kindle.

   Adsense is really very slow way to earn money. Use it only if you have a fair amount of traffic. Else I would suggest you to use Affiliate marketing or write paid reviews.
