I need some help. I can't get beyond the Substandard notification. I've been viewing things others have published and noticed it was published with typos. Nothing that I'm trying to put up seems to have these problems.
Any and all advice would be wonderful.
Hi there,
There are still many sub-standard hubs on HP. Have a look at this guide to producing a stellar hub: https://hubpageshelp.com/content/Learni … ellar-Hub.
Lots more information in the Learning Center: https://hubpageshelp.com
If you have been given a special link for the forum then post it here and we'll try to help.
Even more difficult. Was excited for the link. I keep being told it doesn't exsist. Either it's my computer, or it's user error. I really wish we all still sat at typewriters and snail mailed things.
Oh yes, sorry. Don't know why that should be. Trying again...

Thanks. That one worked. I think I know the way to fix my work now.
This experience is so much fun. I'm still learning the rules.
I noticed I can't always get to the learning pages, but I'm sure it's probably my internet connection, not hub pages.
Click on the Help button, top right of any page. There is a direct link to the LC on the next page.
I'm not sure how to link my hub to my profile. It says the hub is active there. I did resubmit it, so maybe it's in limbo till they decide if my edits kept my article sound.
Thank you for being so generous with your advice. I know the world of writing is very competitive and I've been worried they wouldn't want to let anyone else in.
It's done automatically. It'll show up soon enough.
Aw... don't want to burst your bubble, but HubPages lets anyone in. However, if they break the rules (like spamming or abuse) they get kicked out.
The test is getting your articles published, featured and, with any luck, transferred to one of HP niche (elite) sites. That's when things start to get good.
Thanks. I've been trying to figure out how it works. I can tell it's not gonna be easy. I am happy I have time to re edit things.
I'm deciding on my next story/ article. I'm beginning the old fashioned way, writing it out, proof reads, then I 'll do the hub thing.
I put up a new hub. it's called "If a Tree falls..." let me know what you think.
Keep writing and submitting, and eventually you'll break through. Then you'll be surprised how easily things come together after that. Be sure to read and think about all feedback you get from HP editors.
Thank you. I'm still in the editing phase. I'm not sure I have figured out all the HP editors information. I'm worried I may have accidently deleted something. I did add all the things I know they told me to.
I have to remember to not jump so quickly.
It's awesome that you are a teacher. I had a summer school engish teacher that was so sweet. I wish I could remember her name instead of just the stories she told me. An accident in my life messed up the way I remember things. I'm thinking about doing a hub on that.
Thanks for following me. I'm gonna keep pushing.
Holy cow. Finally realizing how I screwed up my hub was very helpful. I was having trouble figuring out what "spammy content" actually was. Turns out you should never include material that will direct someone to a different site. Not sure why the hub pages didn't make that clear from the beginning.
Live and learn.
Hoping to get my next hub published without issues.
Thank you. I'm in the boot camp phase. I've got a couple hubs now. My newest is : "If a tree falls.."
Maybe you could let me know if I'm on the right track with my writing.
Best way to get started is to read my hub on "how to create a hub and get featured". Just search for it on the Hubpages screen.
I'll check it out. Thank you for the help.

I'm very timid when it comes to change if the change is not one of my own choosing, even if it is good change. Moving to HubPages was an upsetting experience for me, mainly because I felt the place we moved from would find a way to mess it up or that HP would treat us like illegal aliens.Only...

Hey everyone,This might seem like a silly question, the answer to which is probably glaringly obvious to my more experienced fellow hubbers, but I'm truly at a loss here. I'd like to know how you come up with original hubs to write after doing research on a proposed topic. Nearly every...

I'm not asking about why hubs get featured or un-featured. I kind of know that. The issue is: I just did a category search in my hubs, and found that, out of 292 published hubs, 149 are unfeatured due to low traffic! That's a lot! Over half my articles! I don't have the time...

First of all: I know that I'm new here. I'm not expecting to make great monetary strides at Hubpages for at least a year. I am doing okay in Adsense and am surprised to be making money every single day. Some days it's copper money, but regardless, it's money.I am not doing as well in Amazon (and am...

I noticed at about 9am today that each time I look at any Hub, I get an ad filling my screen at first. Is this a new feature of HP? Thanks. I'm not clicking ads, honest!

So, I didn't do very good research about the hub name, and so I did it after the fact, learning that there are actually a few other articles on the net with the same title I used for my latest hub. I think I should rename it, and am okay for taking a few dings for a few weeks if it will help in the...
