I was wondering if it's a good practice to frequently change Hub Categories for particular writings when the traffics starts to drop? Just curious!
Thank you for any feedback!
Why do you think that would help traffic?
Also I'm wondering, what subjects are you writing about, that you have a choice of several suitable categories?
The best way to get traffic is to write Hubs that are good enough to be moved to the niche sites.
Sadly, creative writing and opinion pieces just don't get much traffic by their very nature.
Thank you, Marisa :-) Yes, I write poetry for the most part, but I do not do it to get paid. I just enjoy writing. I was just curious about the traffic issue because it seems that some days it goes up, and then down, back and forth. It just made me wonder what that was all about.
I did get one of my writings moved to the Letterpile, which was very rewarding. I will have to look up about the Niche sites.
My writing can be under poetry, but it can also be categorized under what the actual subject of the poem, or creative writing, is about. And, I have noticed that changing the categories makes a big difference in traffic. But, I think I'd like to leave them set at just the initial category. It's easier this way.
Thank you so much!
No, your poetry/creative writing can't be categorised under the actual subject it's about. If you do that, it's very likely to get unFeatured for quality.
Hubs in the poetry and creative writing categories aren't held to the same standards for length and relevance as the subject categories. Most poems are too short to meet the standard in the subject categories these days.

I'm curious as to whether there has been a decrease in hubbers using the hub hopper to rate hubs. I just have a feeling there is because my hub scores haven't been fluctuating as much (which is fine with me). Overall, I'm wondering if there's been a bit of a slow down in hub QAP due to...

I'm wondering if creative writing - poetry and personal narratives - is appropriate content for a hub?

I was wondering if anyone would consider taking the time to stroll through my hubs and read a few? I would love more feedback, and I think it would help me get to know other hubpage authors. Thanks!
