Does the seasonal nature of gardening articles on DenGarden and drop in traffic to the site towards autumn affect the ranking of other articles in the Home Improvement, Cleaning and Home Appliance categories?
I have over 50 hubs on DenGarden, none on gardening. I've not seen a drop in views - if anything fall does better for me.
I've had some minor ups and downs on gardening stuff but nothing major. Owlcation seems to be suffering at the moment, for whatever reason, or maybe it is the kinds of page I write there.
I expected to see some drop in my gardening Hubs, but that is not the case, yet. I do focus on the West Coast and the Fall is an opportune time to do landscaping and cool weather veggies. All the newspapers and gardening stores talk fall planting up big here.
I always see a jump in visits in the Spring, though.
As far as affecting other titles in Dengarden, Fall/Winter might. That depends on how much readers look at HPs Menu, other titles and search pages for the site. We don't get stats on that. Can we see how any of the niches are doing?
We can only see what are own Hub is doing.
Are you referring to traffic similar to Behavior Flow in Google Analytics? I have always wondered how well cross reading, or linking of articles did in the niches.
It's just that quite a few evergreen articles which have fairly high, non-seasonal traffic (which was actually growing) have lost a lot of traffic over the last couple of months, about 33%.
I wonder is the ranking of sites on Alexa any way representative of the truth?
I have to explore Alexa, that you referred to here. Not aware. Thanks.
Pethelpful has been off too, about 10-15% in pageviews for over a month. However CPM is making a comeback this last week. I wonder if the backlinking thing they were going to experiment with has be implemented yet.

Have you noticed any changes which you think could be attributed to COVID-19? (sorry, spelled it wrong in the title ) Overall my traffic is down 20% in the last fortnight whereas it should be increasing as the gardening season kicks off. I reckon some of the loss is also due to school closure and...

Is anyone finding that traffic to their Dengarden articles isn't increasing? Usually at this time of year, traffic starts to climb, instead it's either declining or staying stagnant. Views are 50% down on last year.

Usually I can find my articles on Google within a few hours, sometimes minutes. Now it seems I can't even find my articles on the site for more than 36 hours after they are published.I believe the new idle feature is affecting how hubs are indexed. Doesn't this affect traffic? What is causing this...

Despite being bad overall, the damage to the niches by the various Google algorithm updates over the past two years has been uneven. While Pethelpful has suffered relatively less, Dengarden seems to have taken a huge hit. I've attached a graph of traffic from SEMRush as an illustration of how bad...

Hello Hubbers! I'm fairly new to HubPages, I've been here about a week now and love the community so far! Anyway, I was thinking, since we all have the same goal; to make money, get readers and help people, I thought I would make a topic for us all to discuss the best places to post our HubPages...

For a long time it has puzzled me how one of my hubs keeps doing great, when it shouldn't. You see, I started a hub on one topic and then changed my mind in the middle of it.Now, back then I had no idea you couldn't change the URL later, so I was horrified when I was stuck with a URL that couldn't...
