I Just Got My Second Examiner Pay Out!

   This morning I was excited to see I just got my second examiner.com pay out!  For me these have not been as high as adsense, but the articles I am writing there allow me to link back to my hubs here.  Just wanted let people living in the US know they might think about writing for the examiner.com if they have not applied yet.  This might be a good alternative for those who have lost their ebay stream of income.

         Thanks Princessa!  There we have to write a little differently, always in the third person.  However, I enjoy looking at things from a different perspective, so I do like this site.  There are so many topics to pick from, so I am sure many people could find something to write about.

      I got my first Examiner pay out last week. I really, really, really appreciate you turning me on to them. I don't quite make what I make here, but I've only been writing there for a month and a half and already I'm up to about half my Google pay out here at HP with them. For August I'll be close to my Hub Pages revenue, on way fewer articles.
      
      I've been writing paranormal stuff for the Grand Rapids MI New Age Examiner, and it's been a blast. Met lots of people in the are who track weird things--Bigfoot researchers, ghost chasers, mediums, UFO enthusiasts, and so forth. I'm having big fun with it.

   Unfortunately the examiner.com only hires US residents at the moment.  I heard they might expand in the future.

   awesome! I want to write there but under a pen name...I have emailed them several times at various addresses to ask if this is ok, but never heard back. I might apply under a pen name and then explain why and obviously provide them with my real information for the background check or whatever it is that they do.

   I would imagine being able to write under a pen name would be acceptable.  Just explain to them maybe you plan on publishing a book under that name one day, which might help .  They just do a real simple back ground check, so I am sure they would only need your name for those purposes.

      Will definitely try that...I really have wanted to sign up but can't justify using my real name because I'm really careful what I attach my name to online for future career purposes. Once online, it's there forever and several years from now I don't want a perspective employer to google me online and and find that I write about celebrity news...well, maybe that would be good if I decide to go into entertainment law. lol

   They have a twenty-five dollar pay out via pay pal.  Another reason I like the examiner is because writing there gives me traffic and backlinks to many of my crafting hubs.

    I am the the LA Arts and Crafts Examiner, even though I live sixty miles from there.  I really hope they come up with and Inland Empire addition soon.  What do you write over there RooBee?

    Cool, I'll have to check you out! I'm the Salt Lake City Festivals Examiner. My posts are usually only relevant for locals, but I did get to report on Michael Jackson's memorial which I enjoyed watching & writing about - plus I got TONS of traffic from all over the world!
    If you're on LinkedIn, you should check out the Examiner group if you haven't already. From what I've learned there, Examiner is really expanding so maybe you will just get that IE edition!

    Your topic sounds fun actually.  I was thinking maybe you can get up your page views every week if you tie your articles to tourism events in your city.  I was not able to tie Michael Jackson into my topic because unfortunately he was not really into arts and crafts.  I am going to check out your articles over on the examiner.  Thanks for the tip about the linked in group of examiners.
