Was just curious if any active members here were Youtube partners, and what type of videos you make ?

even if you aren't a partner, everybody should use Youtube to help promote themselves. There are tons of different ways to use it as a marketing tool for hubs.

anyways if you are a partner and wouldn't even mind giving your channel I'm bored and willing to go check it out and 5 star.

    thanks

Hi, I do have a youtube account only because I love music and like to send it to others. I have yet to make my own videos, but do plan to make some simple music videos.

you can check mine out, it's just some of my favorites. hope you enjoy!

I would like to apply, but I want to be certain that I get accepted, so I need to increase my views and traffic. Something for the future I guess!

I am now a youtube partner and am enjoying seeing how my earnings will fair as I create more useful videos for drawing and art.

I got an email early last week inviting me to place ads on one of my vids that has become popular.  I submitted it with all the copywrite details (which are very strict) then received an e-mail back asking me to provide documents to support my claim of ownership.  I then told them to stuff it as it was them that had invited me to join, and the next day I got a reply thanking me for confirming that I owned the video and that it would start displaying ads shortly.  big_smile

I have heard though that the money made via their partnership program is pretty poor due to low CTR, and am concerned that this could lower earnings per click across my entire account via smart-pricing.

But I'll give it a chance.

Interesting video Misha, you should make more! I have made one youtube video, but I can't show that one here. wink

However I got over 30,000 views in two months with it, so I can see it's worth it. I'm going to make a new channel and take Disney and Orlando vacation videos, those should be popular. smile

I will probably not apply for the partnership thing, but I have found making short videos lends interest to many of my articles.

Yea, It can't hurt to wait a bit and be sure you're going to be accepted.

I think if you can get your total video views around 100-150k+ and breach 750 subscribers you would be good to go.

MrVoodoo, I will say that the first experience I ever had on Youtube was with a single video that was accepted for revenue sharing. It got about 200 views a day, so it didn't get too many clicks. However, the clicks I did got always tended to be 25-75 cents which is nice.

and to sweetiepie, I wouldn't rule yourself out for ever applying for partnership. You have over 30,000 total video views which isn't bad. If you just kept posting a video here and there and possible posted something such as "please rate, comment, and subscribe if you enjoy any of my videos" than I could see you being accepted in the distant future.

and Misha your video was actually pretty interesting, you should make more smile

    Thanks everybody for responding !

I actually am not looking for partnership to be honest.  I make my videos for me, art, and beautiful scenery.  At the end of the day the people who love them will love them, and the people who do not like them can find something else to watch I am sure.
