This answer won't help you at all.
In the state of Kerala on the lower west coast of India they have a drink called Toddy (probably the original use of the word for an alcoholic drink). It is a kind of fermented coconut milk. The alcoholic content is below the level of wine. There are toddy stands all over Kerala. They serve a very nice (spicy) meal with the toddy. It's a great, happy buzz. It's one of the things I like most about India.
But you're not about to ferment a coconut, so this news won't help you one bit. Sorry.
my dad made me them....looking back that probably wasnt the best idea,...but it involved...hot water, lemon juice, honey, and butter. cool....add whiskey. used to knock me right out when i was sick, id wake up much better.
whisky, add some boiling water and about 2 teaspoons of sugar. It's awful but who cares...makes you feel better!
doesnt adding boiling water cook off the alcohol, making the whiskey pointless?
My Irish father recently told me that when he was a child and he got ill his father would give him a 'mulled Guiness'. Here's how it was made: 1) take a poker and stick it into an open fire until it is glowing red hot. 2) stick the end into a glass of Guiness to warm it up. 3) drink the Guiness.
I couldn't beleive it when he told me, but he insisted it's true and he's not given to making things up.
It is warm whiskey, lemon juice, honey, and a little hot water... yum!
Funny story,
when my mom was little she had a cold, but my grandma said she had to go to school anyway. She made her a thermos with a hot toddy. The teacher went over to my mom and said "what do you have?" and she said "My drink..."
My grandma got called into school that day. Today... damn the school board would have had her arrested.

We have heard about the miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. People seem not to understand the type of wine that was made. Some said it was alcohol while some claim it was non-alcohol like fruit wine. I think a knowledge of the wine invoke at that time can give us an idea. Those that oppose...
