This past Christmas, Kindle sales were huge at Amazon. If we are Amazon affiliates, are we able to sell Kindle books via a hubpage?

You can sell them via hubpages - but you get no commission on Kindle book sales!!! You only get commission on the sale of a Kindle!

Wow. That's sad. And crummy, too. Three cheers for big business as they smack their affiliates in the face.

Yes, you do now get a commission on Kindle Book sales.

On Mon 05/03/10 I got this email announcement from Amazon:

Last I saw though, the commissions on Kindles were much higher than other products.

That's cool if you manage to sell one! I have sold several Kindle books but no Kindles...so sum total of revenue...0.00!!!

I sold two Kindle: Amazon's 6" Wireless Reading Devices last year and I have to say that it is worth pushing them.  The commission for the sale of both of them totaled $59.80.  I wish I could get more of those sales.  Well worth the time of promoting.

Yeah I managed to make a few Kindle sales without actually having a hub on kindles, not sure how! Nevertheless, they do give a nice payout, even though the books earn you zilch.

Well, the books themselves, from what I've seen are pretty cheap so even if you did get a commision it would not be much. Never thought of selling the actual Kindle. Thanks for the advice!

You can sell anything that is listed on Amazon, as far as I'm aware. This includes the Amazon Kindle and even gift cards!

I have sold 4 or 5 Kindles. You get 10% which is super.

Think I'll have to start putting kindles on my hubs now specially seeing that I've finally managed to get my books on Amazon in Kindle format.  Twas first a problem as they only put on books where the author/publisher had American bank accounts for the royalties, but now they are taking international people and will send checks.  So, as they are progressing, maybe eventually they'll start paying commission on Kindle books as well.

after receiving a kindle for a gift, I am definitely going to include it on more of my hubs. I LOVE my kindle.
it's so easy to use and what a wonderful thing to hold in your hand, even one hand is comfortable. I just ordered 7 free (classics) books and with a click, they're loaded. I'm very impressed. smile

It's great downloading them so easily. I've downloaded a lot of free samples too.

I have a hub about my kindle smile I don't think I've sold any though, I should check...

these are many free books, not just samples. I ordered 4 Jane Austin books and quite a few others. I went to amazon and searched free kindle books.

I'll have to come by and read your hub! it is exciting for any book lover.

edit: just read your hub. I love it! great job. smile
