Does anyone ever play the 'what if' game with themselves?

   It is such an easy game to get caught up in playing. What if my mom had not been an active drug abuser? What if I had had a 'normal' childhood? What if, What if, What if!
   
   I always find myself getting outa that game by telling myself I might have been one of those vapid pretty girls with no substance that really annoy the heck outa me! And this reminds me that everything, including the really bad, painful and dark moments are a part of who I am today, and really if I don't like me I am always free to change and become something more, someone I can hold in the highest respect. When I do that those painful moments will still be a part of me being the dynamic person who can command my respect.
   
   The what if game when left unchecked just turns into a big ol pity party. I do serve good nibbles at  a pity party but the drinks suck!

      what if.....
      then you wouldnt be you, and I would be sad.  I wouldnt have someone to think about when I listen to Tori.
      ps, the drinks at my pity parties rock....we should have one together

      Sure, the trick is not to live there. Playing the game mindfully can give you some insight into what you think you missed so you can see about adding something to your life. For example, if you keep wondering about all the men you left behind then maybe something needs to be done about your current relationship.
      
      If you wanted a situation to turn out differently then taking a look at what you could have done differently can give you some direction for similar situations in the future.
      
      I think it's destructive when it's not useful. Replaying old arguments or old failures or even old successes without considering what you're trying to tell yourself is a mind trap.

   I don't get caught up in it.
   
   This will sound silly, but I was watching football with my dad when I was a kid. There was a penalty that called back a touchdown and the team lost. I was blaming the guy who got the penalty for screwing up the game and costing a win.
   
   But my dad said, If he didn't get the penalty, how do you know that the other team would not have gone ahead and scored another touchdown anyway?
   
   I look at things like a tree branch, not a straight stick.
   Cause and effect are only clear after the fact. If you could take back that bad thing, who is to say that another bad thing would not have happened anyway?
   
   cynical yes, but i believe it is true. This is why I don't do the "what if" game.

         Same here. I've tried to play the 'what if' game but it comes to a halt for one reason or another.
         
         I'd have to change so many things to create a 'normal family' scenario I honestly can't imagine what it would be like.

   what if?  i wouldn't have had all the wonderful people in my life that i have now if i changed one single painful moment.  life is an opportunity to grow, i try not to dwell on the past.

   I find that an idle mind is truly the "devil's playground." So I stay busy with positive and fullfiling activities both in my busines and personal life. No time to play what if.

   soooo - why aren't those pinkie, adorable girly-girl product hubs linked to each other? did I miss the link? You get SEO benefit from that. From daydreams to reality!

      When you talk about linking hubs together-- do you mean just like mentioning the other hub and adding a link directly to it, maybe at the bottom of your article?
      Or is there another better way?

      I am not finished writing them yet! Every item I find leads to an idea for another
      It's really fun to feel as tho I am on fire just now!
      
      I do want to group them but am not sure what groups to create for them yet as I am not sure how close to done I am with this trend of products that got me feeling inspired.

    I mean mentioning it and providing a direct link, so if a shopper clicks it they end up there. Where these two hubs are closely related, I'd provide the link in the middle.
    
    Where these are such high ticket items, I'd create other hubs to link to it as well.

    You don't have to create a group. Just put the link on the hub. Doing it with just 2 hubs gets the google juice flowing that much sooner.
