         It was a hub in answer to a request made by HubPages, long ago. But, since then, adsense policies has undergone many revisions, snd so did HP's. The particular hub I mentioned started showing Google Public Interest ads. That means I or HP don't make any money out of it. It still get more than 200 hits from search traffic per day, to date! sad but true.

   You poor thing. You know what you're doing, so I guess it wasn't possible to rewrite the hub to meet Adsense TOS.

   Yes, but you were getting clicks, so it still earns money.  And that's ultimately the bottom line with HubPages, to get clicks. So, why pull it down?  Leave it up and get every morsel of your piece of the pie.

      If it's displaying public ads you get nothing. I guess you could still make money from affiliates though.

         Ah, well, just goes to show how much I know about making money on HP, lol.  Hey, but I'm up to $12.50 a month, so, at this rate, in 1,330 years, I'll be earning a fat six-figure salary off of HP.  Eat that, jealous people!
         
         
         
         Why would it jeopardize your adsense account? How is having "public ads" any different than having a hub up that has the "no ads" checked?  I mean, if they aren't making revenue, they aren't making revenue... least that's how it seems to me, who is admittedly ignorant about this stuff.

   I have 49 hubs and making no money! I hardly get 50 views per day for all of my hubs! Confused what subject should I choose for my next hub!

      Hey, seriously, if you want to make money off of hubs, you are in luck.  Look up there at Nelle Hoxie's post.  Click her profile and go look at her hubs.  THAT is what money making hubs look like as I understand it.  I have looked at them a number of times and told myself to just write a few like that every month in between my sarcastic rant hubs.  I haven't done it yet, but I keep telling myself to.  I know it is good advice.

         I'm fairly new and still learning the ropes of what will make me money here, but I admit, I can't go the whole nine yards to the money making hubs.  I'm trying to combine the buffoon style writing with the money making writing, and it's not going  too bad so far, but I'll admit, I'd probably make a lot more if I went the whole nine yards to monetize my content, it just wouldn't make me happy in the least.
         
         What I've read from you so far, maybe it doesn't make you the B-U-C-K-S but it's a friggin pleasure to read, my man, so here's to you making 6 digits in a few years time

   Even without the adverts, you could have used that high-traffic hub to put up links to some of your other money-making hubs.  I don't think deep-linking other sites & pages within the content, would have been a waste.

      I guess, it will be a no follow even if the hub is live and the big guns think it doesn't go with their policies.

         Why would it be a no-follow; was the HubScore below standard?  Plus, even if it was, the traffic generated could still possibly be used to redirect elsewhere, like, to your money making pages.  Hmm, I hate some of those picky policies.  Well, it is your hub and you should know what is best.

   Same here, except I'm not even up to that impressive 12.5 a month, in fact, I'd need to actually check the account, and I'm not even sure I remember the password for that one. DUH me!  However, I'm sure I'll also be making a 6 or 20 digit figure once I reach retirement age! Yes, I'm sure of it!

   Couldn't you block that particular type of ad rather than taking the hub down?
   
   Just doesn't seem to make sense to me.
   
   Also, I would think there'd be some sort of a grandfather clause for old(er) hubs?
