You would have to contact the hubpages team and voice your concern. How do you know if he/she is a fraud or scammer? smile

The user has no hub, no profile and he/she sent me a message via hubpages, also he/she sent same message to many hubs and forum posts as comments claiming a female looking for friendship. From this point, he/she frauds victims, i have encountered them before. So ignore messages from this user.

Alot of this type of thing is automated by spyware software, which can create multiple accounts anywhere online and these types of accounts have links or are associated with types of spyware that can take over your accounts if you follow the email address from them, not to mention key loggers and viruses.

        Always flag as spam

That would be one hell of a program -

Yes, all of the above does exist (kind of)- but 'faith" is not so complex

          "Hello

My name is faith I saw your profile today and I became intrested in you,I will also like to know you the more, and I want you to send a mail to my email address so i can give you my picture for you to know whom l am.Here is my emailaddress(faith_lov1@yahoo.com).I believe we can move from here,Theres a sea between us, love. I wish I could send some magic to make your heart a little lighter. I am waiting for your mail to my email address above.faith.Remeber the distance or colour does not matter but love matters alot in life. Please reply me here:(faith_lov1@yahoo.com)Foever

          Yoursfaith"

She/he is prob just listbuilding and would then hit you with dating links/cam links - or try and talk you into something, in poor english with bad logic - no scary links in its message.

Most of these attempts are idiotic - teh good ones taht actually work...well you would neevr realize it happened - so dont fret to much - and never log into anything private directly from an email, take the time to type in the address.

Really, most of this things only work on complete fools - you would have to install a keylogger masquerading as someyhing else, like a needed plug in - they dont magically appear from an email - nothing can take over your account, but it can trick you to enter your log in credentials into a copycat site

Just wanted to play devils advocate, it really isnt that scary out there

At the bottom of each forum post is a "Report" button.  I used it several times last night to report mercy123 to HP because he/she/it was posting the same message to thread after thread.

A lot of people online set up profiles that do not match their actual biological gender.

Acco, at the bottom of the email is a link that says "Spam". Click it, and it'll flag that user and the message for further investigation by the Hub Team.

Cheers sunforged for explaining it a bit better and not instilling the fear of the internet like I did in my reply!

These spammers must all be learning from the same spam school as the messages read almost identical to others and with Yahoo email addresses!

Spamming, scamming and fraud (oh my)... but add female impersonation, and that does it!

I will look and add my flags.

    Seems to have evaporated already.
So glad Accofranco is on this.
