At long last, spring is here! I bet many of you are celebrating by getting outside more, so why don’t we make gardening this week’s theme?

Hubs you create as part of this week’s Weekly Topic Inspiration challenge will be counted as contest entries in the Know It All Contest. To increase your chances of winning one of our qualitatively-judged prizes, I recommend using a search-friendly title. If you don’t want to do the keyword research yourself, consider using one of the titles I’ve researched for you:

How to Plant a Garden: A Beginner’s Guide
    5 Inspiring Flower Garden Ideas
When to Plant a Garden: Seasons and Timing
How to Grow Flowers Like a Pro
    Essential Garden Accessories for Beginners
A Beginner’s Guide to Integrated Pest Management
Do It Yourself Pest Control for Gardens
    Do Ultrasonic Pest Repellers Work?
Garden Design Ideas for Small Plots of Land
The Most Effective Pest Control Products for Gardens
The 10 Best Plants for Shade
How to Work Landscape Plants Into Your Garden
    Designing a Garden: A Step-By-Step Guide
The Top 5 Shade Garden Plants
The Best House Plants for Reluctant Gardeners

If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:

    1)    Click here to visit this week's topic.
    2)    Click the green button "answer this question".
    3)    Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it."
    4)    Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens
    5)    Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before.
    6)    After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

For more information on the Weekly Topic Inspiration program, check out the Learning Center guide.

This is my solution for those hard to grow in the shade plant.  The Coleus:  it's easy to grow, it's colorful, it's easy to propagate.  Here is my Hub about Coleus.

How about "HOW TO WORK A GARDEN DESIGN INTO YOUR BALCONY" I miss my garden! sad I might actually participate on this one. I've never gone with the hp flow before, but who doesn't love Spring?!

How about "Balcony Garden Design Ideas?" I found that the phrase "garden design ideas" gets a decent number of searches each month, so including it in your title might help the Hub be found smile

Cool. But I can only grow hardy plants. I'm overlooking the ocean and its very windy.

Good morning! I'm a bit late with this one, as it's from last week's suggested topics but here it goes, How to Tell if Your Local Grocery Supports Sustainable Agriculture.

        Cool!
I think the quiz I put together is pretty hard but it's a good way to learn about the issues!

Totally! Plus it's a great way to engage with readers and keep them with your Hub for longer- which can, in turn, help it rank higher in search engine results.

I was confused where to post my hub for the weekly topic. Gonna throw it in this forum. I posted in the know-it-all forum, not sure if that was where it was suppose to be.

This is my article on the essential garden accessories for beginners. I wrote it because it can be so confusing as a new gardener to go shopping for tools and be confronted by hundreds of different ones and not know which ones you really need.

I've done it twice. I've gotten so excited about all the wonderful titles, I went to the top right hand corner and hit "start a new hub" without following instructions. I will not do it again...but anyway here is my hub on garden accessories.

After bypassing potato chips and going for salsa and chips on Friday night instead, I was truly inspired by cilantro.  No, I don't feel that cilantro tastes like soap!

Hands down, basil is my favorite herb, and I can't get enough of it.  You can never grow too much basil.  Fresh, dried or frozen, you'll find some way to use it!

    Gosh, these were so awesome! I'm kind of sad that this week has come to an end ;__;

But we must always move forward, no? This week's new theme is aging and longevity- quite a good one when it comes to searches and ad revenue big_smile

The new thread is up, and I've found some search-friendly titles you can use if you're out of ideas or don't feel like firing up the ol' Google AdWords Keyword tool. I hope you'll join us!
