Risen 2 Location of Skills Teachers

In Risen 2, on Tacarigua, the hero should know the location of each of the skills teachers. The skill teachers are important for learning and advancement of various skills that the hero possesses. This is especially important at the beginning of the game for easy defeating of some of the monsters on Tacarigua. This will illustrate the whereabouts of some of the skills teachers in Tacarigua (especially the pirate den) and highlight some of the skills they teach.

Curtis stands just outside Booze's tavern in the pirate's den. Curtis is the blades skill teacher at the pirates camp. He will teach the following skills -

• counter parry (requires 1000 gold, blades attribute 1)
• attacks to have more power (requires 1000 gold, blades attribute 2)
• counterattack (requires 1000 gold, blades attribute 4, parry)
• counterattack to be more powerful (requires 1000 gold, blades attribute 8, riposte)
• sabre (requires 500 gold, blades attribute 1)
• fight well with sabre (requires blade attribute 4, slashing weapons 1)

When facing Steelbeard's ship, turn right and head towards a man shaping some weapons at a forge. That man is Stone. For 1000 gold and a blades score of 6, Stone will teach the nameless hero the skill of forge a blade.

Booze works in his tavern at the pirate den. He teaches Toughness skills, and these include -

• intimidate people (requires 1000 gold, liquid courage)
• intimidating the ones that aren't wimps (requires 1000 gold, toughness attribute of 4, intimidate 1)
• intimidate absolutely anyone (requires 1500 gold, toughness attribute of 5, intimidate 2)
• deal with gunshot wounds (requires 500 gold, toughness attribute of 3)
• deal better with gunshot wounds (requires 1000 gold, toughness attribute of 6, bulletproof 1)

After learning a few skills from Booze, head further into the tavern and meet Holly – the cunning skills teacher. Holly will charm and educate the hero on the art of the silver tongue and these silver tongue skills include -

• get started with silver tongue (requires 500 gold and cunning attribute of 1)
• become more persuasive (requires 1000 gold, cunning attribute 4, silver tongue)
• persuade anyone the hero meets (requires 1500 gold, silver tongue 2)

Head out of the tavern and turn left. Head up some stairs and head straight to a man making some pistols outside his house. That man is Barney, the firearms teacher. Shout at him (he is a bit deaf due to the firearms he uses) to learn the following skills -

• making a pistol (requires 1000 gold and firearms attribute of 6)
• make a critical hit (requires 1000 gold and firearms attribute of 1)
• blowing someone's head off while I talk to them (requires 500 gold and firearms attribute 2)
• quicker on the draw (requires 1000 gold and firearms attribute 4)

There is a blades trainer or teacher at the Tacarigua Inquisition barracks. Speak to Roquefort to learn the basic blades skills. In addition, Roquefort offers the following skills for learning -

• faster attacks (requires 500 gold, blades attribute of 2)
• master the epee (requires 1000 gold, blades attribute of 5 and piercing weapons 1)

In Risen 2, voodoo magic and voodoo teachers will be available after the hero leaves Tacarigua for the Sword Coast.
