In most countries, aborting at six months is illegal because by that point a baby can be born and live outside of its mother. The chances of survival hover around 50%-60% by that point, and the size of the baby can make it dangerous to the mother to abort. Various drugs may be successful in inducing labor, but at six months you're pretty well beyond the aborting phase and, if you do not have the means or desire to take care of a baby, this may be the time to start looking into finding adoptive parents.
