Cleaning & weight loss?
I have read that cleaning your house by routine, like doing certain chores certain days, and others on other days, can help one lose weight. Is this possible? I'd imagine you would have to do house work for an hour to 2 hours daily. I did some spring cleaning last fall and did about 4 days in one week where I cleaned the house for 2 hours on all 4 days. A week later, I noticed my pants fit looser. Was this simply due to cleaning my house!? I am curious about this and may put it to the test since I am getting ready for spring cleaning.
Cleaning can be an effective cardio especially if your house is considerably big and there are kids everywhere who won't stop messing things up.
Every household chore burns calories. For example, ironing the clothes, cleaning the bath tub, vacuuming, mopping, dusting around the house.
I think the secret is to do something every day for 1-2hrs, or in 30 minute blocks.
Don't put off any chore that will take less than 2 minutes. See how it will all add up and help keep a clutter free house.
I wrote a hub on How to Declutter. Might help in your spring cleaning.

Of course, you burn energy while moving through the house! http://www.phentermineplan.com/p/how-do … -work.html - you can read here about another simple ways to lose weight
Any activity whether it be household chores, playing with children, mowing the lawn will burn energy. However, I believe that you should still get a good "cardio" workout at least 3 days per week for at least 30 minutes. Cardio will increase your heart rate at least 65 percent. Most household chores do not allow for this. Cardio strengthens the heart muscle which helps with other bodily processes.
You are right and thanks for reminding about the need for 30minutes cardio exercises at least 3 times a week. I don't think anything can replace regular exercise.
