I worry a lot and fear all the time that something will go wrong. I am tired of it.

I am on Citalopram+ clonazepam since last 7 years. Initially, I was advised citalopram-20mg+clonazepam-2mg once at bedtime, for one month. Then, rather than stopping the same gradually, from time to time, I increase/decrease the dose. Mr dr. had told me to stop it after some time but it seems, i am afraid to stop.
Since last 5 years, I have lost interest in business, not attending my office. My elder brother looks after it. I just listen to my music all the time. I am a family man, full of responsibilities, but am afraid of taking any initiavtive. I'm not willing to go to any Dr. Pl. advise.

99,9% of the time we worry about things that never happen. Just forbid yourself to worry. It is a waste of energy.

You should only worry about what you can do something about, which isn't much. Drugs, medications are very hard to stop taking (trust me I know), but you have to take the first step, gradually step down until your off (sounds easy but its not).

The way I handle worries is that im a pessimisr I expect every thing to go wrong, so when they aren't as bad as I imagined I'm plesently surprised and happy. I have been through alot of very hard things in my life, probably worse than what you worry about. I survived so can you, in fact im a stronger person for it.
So don't hide from life take a stand and chalenge it to try and nock you down, then stand up and keep going. you will be a stronger person for it.

When I'm worried about something going wrong, I always ask myself what is the worst thing that could happen if it does ... and usually discover it's not worth worrying about.

One of the greatest fears people have is fear of failure. This arises from the fact that one is not in complete control over their mindspace. The fear of failure does not allow people to perform to their optimum potential. This is common in people who are constantly looking for approval from others. This condition is closely related to fear of criticism and fear of rejection....read on  ..................http://hubpages.com/hub/mindspace there are many more helpful ones
