The Flu

    I don't know. That's why I'm posting.

I stayed home from work today because I had a low grade fever (about 100), chills, an incredibly sore throat which would only begin to feel better for maybe 1 hour into medicine... runny nose, cough, achy... I just kind of lied on the sofa all day, wrote a couple hubs, slept...

I was wondering if anyone out there could comment from personal experience (or if you're IN the medical field!), if this is sounding like a cold or flu...

I'm a Kindergarten teacher, and I don't know if I should be "pushing through" tomorrow or call out again for THEIR safety...

    I'd appreciate any thoughts.

      Also have had a headache...

It's intensifying as I debate with myself what to do about tomorrow... sad

How guilty should I feel about calling out from work...

I mean today, my boss actually called and asked if I "began to feel better" if I could please come in...

I just hate calling out, but when working with kids, it's tricky...

Guess what you're experiencing now is Flu HD (because of the weather)..smile
since kids have a more naive immune system, you've got to be really well before you go to work..

I hope you get well really soon..

Hi Kristen. It sounds like a cold (not flu). Only you can decide what is right to do and how do you feel... I would try to stay home, but I don't know your situation, so don't listen to me. GET WELL SOON! :-)

That's what I couldn't tell... I don't get sick that often, and I don't remember ever having the flu, so I don't really know the difference.

      Thanks for your thoughts.
