Yes. Every year I give out Trick or Treat candy. Just yesterday I put out a new pot of fresh mums and hung a smiling Jack o' Lantern on the front door, to make the front door and porch seem a little more festive and cheerful for when the children start showing up.
I always pack up little Trick or Treat bags with candy (although I do some bags for toddlers that have something more appropriate than candy for toddlers) and tape color-coordinated (with the bags) lollipops to the outside of the little bags. I enjoy having the kids show up and being able to help other people's children enjoy their Trick or Treat night.
My kids are grown now, but sometimes one or two or them helps give out the candy before they head out to a party. I usually have a friend come over for coffee, pastry, and popcorn (to make the house smell "like Halloween"). My grown kids, brother, and friend help "get rid of" any leftover Trick or Treat candy. It's a nice way for grown-ups ( who don't have young children, and who are or are not inclined to go to a Halloween party) to enjoy Trick or Treat night.
