Winter Fashion
boots
1. Over-the-knee Boots
Take a look at any fashionista, and you will see over-the-knee boots. What makes over-the-knee boots so popular, is that its sexy without being trashy. It has moved from Hollywood Blvd. to Hollywood Glamour. It makes a great fashion statement and is versatile enough to be worn with many things such as: jeans, leggings, tights, dresses, jackets, jeans, pants and more!
leather
2. Leather Accents
The runways this year was crammed with leather everything. However, it isn't the leather you are thinking of. The leather pieces were feminine, soft, bold, rich, with many embellishments and new cuts. Often leather was used with very contrasting fabrics to create a great look and to soften and break up the 'harsh' leather look.
tights
3. Opaque Tights
These new opague tights are magnifique! They are flexible enough to be worn with any outfit. This season, the tights came in bright, bold colors. It added a pop of excitement to many outfits. I love using bright colored tights with neutral bottoms, it just makes the whole outfit dazzle.
military
4. Military Femme
The military trend is back, but this time with a feminine twist. The lapels, buttons, fit and overall look got a makeover. The military looks are now floaty, soft and feminine with new detailing such as ribbon, bows, lace, ruffles, lighter colors and more shine.
exotica
5. Exotic Elements
Leopard, Cheetah, Zebra, Tribal prints, feathers and fur were all major contenders for this winter's most fashion-forward looks. These exotic elements bring a little something special to any outfit. Because it makes such a statement, the make-up, jewelery and accessories were generally toned down to bring focus to the outfit.
blazers
6. Chic Blazers
Blazers are back. Blazers are here again, but not the dowdy office cubicle kind. The new blazers offer more detailing, again femininity and a tighter fit. Blazers were seen on the runways of Milan and Paris with patterns, bright colors, unexpected fabrics, new collar and sleeve cuts. A must-have for all fashionistas.
embellishment
7. Extravagant Embellishments
Extravagant and Luxurious embellishments were all the rage this fall/winter season. The detailing in accessories, tops, bottoms, and shoes were amazing. There was lace, suede, metallics, brocade, glitter, bamboo, satin, linen, almost any fabric you can think of. In addition, there was intricate detailing which really made the pieces look one-of-a-kind and special.
