Best Organic Clothing Stores Online

Updated on March 21, 2013

Why Not Buy Eco-Friendly?

Buying eco-friendly clothing is no longer a hassle for us every-day folk! It's no longer inaccessible nor expensive.

I believe clothing is just one avenue to help contribute to a more eco-conscious world. And, if you're a fashion conscious gal like me, have no worries! Many rising star designers are now participating in this trend, so you're giving to the world without sacrificing fashion! Many of these companies use a variety of means to help the environment. Many brands employ energy efficient and reduced-impact production, maximize recycling, use sustainable materials, and reduce waste.

However, most importantly to me, these brands ban sweat-shop production and protect human rights. I especially seek out companies that donate or contribute to eco-friendly and human rights causes.

Below are just *some* harmful effects of cotton!

I never thought about it too much either. But, for lounging around at home or sleeping I try and stick to organic cotton! When I'm going out, it's a whole different matter.

      Thanks pmccray!

Excellent hub and subject matter. I never thought about the difference and what we may be putting close to our skin. The dangers of sweat secretion and washing of man made materials like cotton that can wreak havoc through our skin. Voted up, marked useful, awesome and shared.

I'm glad that you pointed out the differences between cotton and organic. This is an area that most people aren't familiar with. It is great that there are so many places now where you can buy reasonably priced organic clothing. Thanks for putting them all together.
