PC Show 2009 Singapore, COMEX, SITEX, Computer & IT Show

PC Show 2009 in Singapore, another big computer fair and exhibition is about to happen in Singapore. Located at SUNTEC Singapore, is deemed to be another big presence, from 11 - 14 June 2009. It is going to be big occupying levels 1,2,4 and 6. Last year it boast of 600 exhibitors and with 1.12 million visitors. With the economic crisis, will it change... let us fuel the economy by our purchases. The VIdeo will tell you of similar big crowds at such kind of shows.

Here are some tips which may be useful to you.

1. Never bring any toddler or young children for this, it will be so crowded.
2. If you are purchasing bulky items, go early and buy it to avoid being stuck in the crowd.
3. Never Drive.... traffic can be very heavy and not parking lots.
4. If you want to drive, park at the National Stadium and take a bus to SUNTEC via Nicoll Highway.
5. Check the newspaper for price list before going to the PC Show 2009.
6. To buy gadgets at bargain price, be there the last few hours on the last day. But very crowded!
7. Very crowded... watch out for pick pockets.
8. Ask for free gifts if you purchase big dollar items.
9. If you buy bulky printers, usually you are given a free trolley.
10. Check for Bank Credit Card related promotions with free gifts.

SITEX (November/December), COMEX (August/September), IT Show (March) and PC Show (June) are yearly computer related shows or events in Singapore. Computer related trade is very popular and doing well that there will be 4 shows each year in Singapore.

There are definitely bargains. Great bundle bargains. To date I have purchased printers, laptops, and accessories at such shows and exhibitions.

It is crowded, really crowded. Never bring your little ones there. They can get lost in the crowds.

I remember buying a Laser Printer... it was a huge box. Thankfully I was there in the morning and managed to pull out my box of printer before the crowd came in. I just cannot imagine jostling with the crowd and with my printer on a trolley in tow....and that was at PC Show.

To avoid the crowds.... this is what I usually do. The best time to get into SITEX, COMEX , PC Shows or IT Shows is to get there just before the doors open for business. I would already know what I am looking for. I move directly to the booth that is selling what I want to purchase. Check the price, check the package, check for any special deals. If it is within my expectations, just pay for it and move out.

The best time to get great bargains for accessories is on the last day. Just a few hours before the exhibition closes.... Oh for this.... you definitely have to squeeze your way through the crowd. You get items which are very discounted. Yes... if you can withstand people pushing you around in the crowd... then this is a good time. Also... in such a crowded place, be careful of pick pockets. These opportunistic people are lurking around.

I am sure that you are going to enjoy this COMEX 2008, whether you are going there to do a market research to check for the best bargain, get yourself acquainted with the latest gadgets or gizmos in town... it is definitely worth the visit.

I was at COMEX 2008 Singapore, on the final day at about 6pm, 3 hours before closing. They were definitely slashing some of the product prices. You can actually get good discounts. BUT BUT BUT.... the traffic towards SUNTEC CIty was bad, it was a big traffic jam. The crowd at the COMEX 2008 was just unimaginable. The escalators were moving loads of people up and down, loads really full loads of people. But it was a trip worth it! Caught some videos with my camera... will show you on YouTube soon.... I met some friends and they were there for a good bargain too. Expect this at IT Show 2009 also!
