One of the most popular holiday trends is sending custom Christmas cards. Many people like to add a personal touch to their holiday greeting cards. Instead of purchasing ready-made cards from the shelves of their favorite department stores, many individuals are choosing to instead make or purchase custom holiday greeting cards.

It's easy to purchase custom greeting cards for the holidays. Many companies offer their customers an opportunity to choose from among several different stock images, messages, types of paper, and envelopes. Many office supply retailers offer in-house printing services that feature complete catalogs with many different customization options. You specify your favorite options, and you'll end up with a combination that meets your needs perfectly.

The end result is a custom combination designed especially for you. In some cases, it's even possible to have a personalized greeting imprinted in your cards if you don't want to use one of the stock greetings. This affordable custom Christmas card option is super for individuals who want a unique Christmas card, but who don't want to go through to process of designing cards that are completely original.

You can also create fully customized Christmas cards, featuring photos of your family, children, home, pets, or vacation destination. There are several different ways to approach this degree of customization. You can go all out, hiring a professional printer to make your cards on high quality card stock, with engraved or imprinted lettering.

At the other end of the spectrum, you can print simple photograph postcards from your home printer. Printing your own postcards can be a lot of fun, because you can even mix up the pictures that you send to different people on your list. You also get to write a personalized message to each recipient.

Sending postcards instead of full-size cards can be easy on the budget as well, because postcard stamps are less expensive than those required to send cards in envelopes. Either way, the people on your Christmas card list will get to see a unique glimpse of your life, along with your chosen message of Season's Greetings. There are many different options for custom holiday greeting cards in between these two extremes.

Creating your own custom holiday cards is a terrific way to send your own special brand of holiday spirit to the people you care about the most. When you choose to send custom Christmas cards, you don't have to worry that the people on your mailing list will receive the same exact card from another friend or relative!

My daughter and I just finished our yearly cards which we've been doing now for about 6-7 years. This is probably what gets the two of us into Christmas spirit. We also do our own Birthday, etc cards all year round.

Great HUB

I do agree that custom cards are better. They feel much less "chessy." I bought a card online for my girl friends' birthday last year, and she just loved the extra personal feel. Nowadays most online retailers offer cheap or free shipping also. Does anyone have any suggestions for online greeting cards? I use cardsdirect.com.
