Here's a delightfully delicious recipe for turkey soup that you can use some of that left over turkey in. This recipe has a lot of Asian influences and it has a rich delicious flavor that everyone loves. For Your Turkey Soup Recipe You Will Need.
1. 2 Cups Diced Cooked Turkey.
2. 1 Cup Small Cubes Granny Smith Apple.
3. 1 Cup Fine Diced Purple Sweet Onion.
4. 6 Cans Chicken Broth.
5. 1/2 Cup Fine Diced Peeled Carrot.
6. 2 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Garlic.
7. 1 Tablespoon Curry Powder.
8. 1 Teaspoon Cumin.
9. 1 Large Can Unsweetened Coconut Milk.
10. 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice.
11. 1 Teaspoon Lemon Zest.
12. 1 Teaspoon Ground Cloves.
You want to start by sauteing your onions , apple , and garlic in a skillet that you have added some olive oil to. Cook over medium heat until your vegetables are tender. Then add everything to a large stock pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook at least one hour. Sometimes I serve the turkey soup as it is and sometimes I puree it in the food processor into cream of turkey soup. Serve your turkey soup with freshly ground black pepper. Sometimes I serve the turkey soup in bread bowls.
