Go To Sleep My Dear
56Asleep at last.
Go To Sleep My Dear
by Annette Gagliardi
Restless legs sail up - then down
Arms wave round and round
Fingers fidget
Small body squirms
Little mouth whispers
Go to sleep my dear
Mime our morning song
Sit up for a new sound
Look at the dog
Fall off pretend log
Yawn, jiggle and fuss
Go To Sleep My Dear
Squeeze eyes tight
Phone rings
Doorbell chimes
Airplane loud overhead
I think you should
Just stay in bed
Go To Sleep My Dear
Close the door
Rub little eyes
Yawn some more
Drink denied
Lullaby tried
Fast asleep my dear

so true! the simple act of falling asleep can often be a major challenge -for the young, or old!
