Restless legs sail up - then down.
Arms wave round and round.
Fingers fidget,
Small body squirms.
Little mouth whispers.
         Go to sleep my dear

Mime our morning song.
Sit up for a new sound.
Look at the dog.
Fall off pretend log,
Yawn, jiggle and fuss.
         Go To Sleep My Dear

Squeeze eyes tight.
Phone rings,
Doorbell chimes.
Airplane loud overhead.
I think you should
Just stay in bed.

Close the door.
Rub little eyes.
Yawn some more,
Drink denied.
Lullaby tried.
