I Got Paid This Much? That's NOT Much!
97Money and Google AdSense seems to be a big topic on Hubpages. We all want to make a bit of money, but as some hub writers have said, it's hard for them to make money from google AdSense. I know it is, it's a time factor and a intelligence factor. Not so much IQ, but money and keywords intelligence.
Of course, there are some ways to make money by using Google AdSense. It's just that you need to be careful and use a bit of thought while writing a hub and then marketing a hub. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. At the start of my hubbing experience I knew next to nothing about Google or getting a better return on google.
That changed... but how? ( Yes another list!)
Google AdWords Keywords:This one is a great beginning, for the most part i think it's a great tool for people who want an idea of what their hubs can make. Type in A few Keywords, and ask for the estimated cost of a keyword, or a phrase. This will give you a much better idea of how much to expect from a hub. I found that well, For one thing a single word keyword gets you no where. A Phrase is helpful, but as long as you get traffic to the hub, well...
Hub Pages Statistics and Traffic Reports:Under My Account there is are two things that I use to look at a lot, until I understood it to thebest of my abilities. The Hub Statistics for each and every hub you publish. This tells you how many people have come to the hub, how many have commented, and of course when they came. (You can find this out for individual hubs, but a quick snapshot is needed as well.) The traffic tells you where everyone came form. what you want to see on that list is diversity. Question yourself if there isn't.
Look at Your Keywords: Some make more money than others, ask what works for your hub and why. If you use to generic keywords thesearch engines won't find them, to specific and people won't think to type it in. Not all keywords will make money and some of the sections on hub pages simply have so much that your hub needs to stand out, and get A LOT of traffic. otherwise, no matter how good the hub, you won't get clicks.
Understanding AdSense and Your Readers: Some people simply read hubs and comment and some will click on a AdSense, others won't spend to much time on the hub to make a difference. Some hubs are like that I've got (at the time of this writing) nearly 50 hubs and some just don't do as well. No marketing will drive traffic to them. But people do stop and comment on them and that's vital to writing. People learn your name. They don't make money, but since they are out there, people know my style... so does it hurt? No, it helps as many will read other hubs I write.
What Are Your Expectations?: This is a biggie, if your hubs aren't doing well, and you expect a great income from AdSense, I'll shed a light on the subject. From numbers I've read and from other comments, really only about 25% of people who use AdSense make $100 a month. That is 1 in 4 make $100 a month. Then you can break it down from there, but the numbers are varying depending on what I read. So, it's not a definite thing. Some do well and some don't. The following is important, people will comment and read something good, but will also read something from a author who's been around a while. (In this case Shirley Anderson and Mark Knowles come to mind!)
Keep writing, but understand what you are writing about and where you are writing this hub will affect what you earn on Google AdSense. A quick and final example: If you write about finances and the keyword rates are higher "pay" than a hub on books. This doesn't mean you shouldn't write hubs on books or writing just don't expect say $10 a click!

Thanks lissa, I hope it will be for others
It's a useful hub that explains a lot, thanks Rebeca.
Thank you, Rebecca. Very helpful & encouraging.
Thanks for the light in the darkness of not knowing. Great info.
This is sobering information but also quite helpful.
I think carefully chosen topic really works well if you are interested in making money from Google. Most of the newbies lack patience-they want instantaneous result. You have pointed out some real good things like-What Are Your Expectations? very good hub.thanks.
It's not easy but with time and some know how it does get a bit easier.
This is so true andromida, can anyone else tell me teh stats for $200 a month and $1000 a month respectively?
I've made a quarter in two months. Now that's not much in the grand scheme of things, but it's a start. I admit, Adsense and keywords still don't register in my brain correctly enough for me to make sense of it. But I keep trying to undestand i.
I will keep trying - thanks Rebecca E!
Thanks for sharing.
I suppose at the end of the day it really depends on whether you are writing for your readers to enjoy or writing to make money. If you can combine the two then its great. Always good to get advice from hubbers with more experience. Thank you.
nice read.... some will make money and some won't that is the way it goes, as long as it is an enjoyable experience, why stop, and hubs like this are always helpful
I have learnt a lot With your hub. Thanks. Just havé a look at m'y Huns, i am quite sure That you will learn Somers stuff as Well. Cheers. Egoodman
Thank you! I plan on being one of those 1 in 4 :)
A writer, just starting out, must be willing to "stay the course". One must figure that the cash flow might be a mere trickle for the first few months.
Great hub, thanks for the info
Thank you very kindly for the tip. I understand now.
I agree with Larry Ivey. A writer must have patience and be willing to try, try, and try again. If one thing does not work try something else. Sooner or later the right combination of key words and topics will click. Thank you for this very informative hub.
Great hub, thanks for the info
Thanks for the information. I am one of the 3 out of 4 people who hasn't made $100 or more per month, but I'm still having fun with hubs, blogs, and my website. I definately don't do it to get rich!
Get what you can...it may not be much...but even $1 is more than you had before you got it...
I just joined today. So this really helped a lot! Thanks!
This one cinches it for me I'm joining your fan club. Myself and others have a lot to learn from you I think Rebecca!
Ben
I think being in it for the long term is the key point. Good hub
In a nutshell. I liked this a lot, you said it well, you got to the point, and you didn't inflate people's expectations. Good for you.
Thank you for the great info.
I think one SciFi writer was telling me he got 8 cents a word. At 250 words a page that is 20 dollars a page. If you crank out 2 pages an hour that would be good work. A 300 page novel would then be $6,000 bucks and to make a living of 24,000 a year it would be required to generate 4 books a year. Don't give up your day job. Write because you love to write. If you are going to earn a living, then it is required you hack out the pages.
Thanks for the explanation. I'm still just writing and not really sure what 'keywords' even ARE yet! I'm having fun. If I stumble upon a way to make $ (or cents? lol) that will be a bonus.
Nice points on how we can earn from adsense here, I am a hubber but truly i didn't earn a single cent here yet. But i like your idea mainly "Understanding AdSense and Your Readers", This is most effective i think.
Good tips! I am going to bookmark it:)
nice hub for earning online.
Good Info, Thanks!
"If you use to generic keywords thesearch engines won't find them, to specific and people won't think to type it in."
The search engines will find them, but they will also find higher rated sites with the same keywords. These higher-rated sites will appear on the first page of the search results that Google returns to the exclusion of a HubPage article.
If u want to Earn Money with Google Ads? It's Not good place for earning from hubpage.. Because Hubpage currently showing MSN Ads in your page Not google adsense Ads. Just show google ads in Top.....

As far as I see all the ads are ads by goggle, I don't see any MSN, help me out here gang or am i missing something?
I'll ask this of everyone else, does anyone have a great experience with blogspot (also known as blogger)? Thus far, hubpages is very kind to me.
Good advice I just joined about a week ago and I'm so glad that I came across this hub
great info thx for the hub!
Making money is hard work, as long as you keep at your hubs, it should start flowing in eventually. Make sure your hubs are informative and interesting, too.
Great hub, thanks for sharing it, I enjoyed the info. creativeone59
LazarDRod, you are so right.
Thanks creativeone59
Good hub, you bring up some very important points. If you're intention is to make money here on HubPages with Google AdSense then it is extremely important that you take the above points into account. It isn't realistic to expect an income of any sort from AdSense if you aren't writing about topics that people are searching for and advertising are bidding for. You can as many hubs as you want, but if your intention is to make money then you need to match your quality writing with some quality research. Again, great hub!
Thanks for the reality check, and very informative post Rebecca! You've earned a thumbs up and a new fan ;-)
The Adwords suggestion to figure out what keywords are the more expensive ones. Another great way of finding "hot topics" is to watch trends on Twitter. It's real-time data, and is a great way of getting a jump on the competition and grabbing some traffic before others begin to outrank you.
Oops - that should have read "I especially iked the Adwords suggestion to figure out what keywords are the more expensive ones"
Hubpages rock and are probably the easiest to use site for writing I have encountered. I actually wrote a detailed article two days ago about Google Adwords Keywords, including detailed screenshots on the best ways to use the site and the information it has to offer.
I am just about to get my 2nd payout from Adsense, and am only $30 dollars off payout on affiliate links, and now anticipate a rapid jump in earnings because I am using Adwords for every subject I choose to write on. Well worth giving it a go :)
I liked your hub. Thanks! Very helpful to me.
Thanks for the useful info.
I make a lot of money from Adsense. Hubpages is part of it... but the real money comes from my large network of sites that I began creating over 10 years ago. The 3 most important factors if you want to earn money with Adsense are:
1. Your content must match user intentions and display ads that meet customer needs. So if you write about babys you'll make money on a hub about baby furniture if your visitor is looking for baby furniture. If you write about parenting and your article displays baby furniture ads you may or may not make money. Because in case one the customer intention is to learn and buy furniture, in case 2 you might thing they match because it's about baby... but it doesn't... you have to be specific.
2. More is not better. You only need a single block of ads to make money... too many ads mean too many chance for the low paying ads to also be displayed and clicked on. Adsense will display the best paying ads in the first block... and best paying means "best performing"... if people don't click it doesn't matter how much the potential payment.
3. Adsense uses a quality score like Adwords (although not published) that applies to your ENTIRE ACCOUNT. So if you have 4 great sites that are high quality and you then place adsense blocks on a low quality site that starts getting clicks it will drag the payment per click down on your ENTIRE NETWORK of sites. This is another reason why just cranking out as many sites as you can and throwing up Adsense doesn't work.
Bonus: You MUST write about topics that are flush with Advertisers willing to spend. The more profit margin in the topic (Insurance for example) the more you will make. If you write about commodities like baby diapers or pencils it doesn't matter how many advertisers... there is not enough profit in the sale to make a large commission - or get a lot of money per click. However just because there is a high commission or payout potential per click doesn't mean you'll get a big chunk. Google will only reward your site with large payouts if it is a quality site. If you have high pagerank and good ranking you'll get a big payout. This prevents all the crappy "DUI Attorney Miami" made-for-adsense type sites from making money. Create real value and you'll be rewarded. If you have a real site - I can't do anything about hubpages because they control the layout - and want me to take a peek send me an email.
It does take awhile for those clicks to add up. But I do not many people who get several hundred dollars a month out of their part time efforts.
Thanks, a hub very interesting and easy to learn, I learned to tune the hub for google adsense, but the worst is to get more visits in our hubs, the hubs have to be really good to get a good number of visitors and then get more clicks on adsense .. Thanks to sharing ..
Thanks for the info - it was geat. I am very new to this whole thing so great to read tips from people who do it properly.
nice info
thanks for sharing the tips - and wish you good luck and success
Thanks for this educative article. It has really opened my eyes
Very informative! It's funny; with Adsense, I'm thrilled if I make $1 a day ... which isn't much! But your perspective changes a lot around here.
thanks.. good one..
good post. well done. good image selection
I do not worry about the Adsense any more. If I get something I get it if I don't I don't. Still, you have some good ideas here.
Yeah, I think I have made .50 with adsense the entire year or so that I have been here...but thats OK. I am not in it for the money....I like to learn and meet people.
GOod Hub. Just received an Adsense check and yep , doesn't feel like much for all that work :(
very informative...thank you!
Great Hub! thanks for letting us know
True. I haven't even reached the first payout from Adsense, even though i joined eight months ago.
I'm one of the under a $1 club. Adsense $$$ would be nice but in the meantime I can brush up on my writing skills, so it's not a total write-off. Nice Hub
The payout may be little but if it is something you enjoy just take it as a bonus.
Great Hub! I agree. Many people seek out more seasoned writers as well as the article they may have first dropped into.
Thanks for sharing your great feelings and tips! Recently I learned to add Google Keywords to my site!
great info
It is nice to hear that not making the big bucks is totally normal for newbies. My earnings have been small but I have had a few clicks and info like this is encouraging to me. I read this and think I must be doing something right to have the clicks I have as I am still pretty new and if I keep plugging away with writing the best articles I can build something to be proud of and one day reach a payout
Thanks for the information. It made things a lot clearer
I always known small things add up!
~thranax~
This is really very enlightening and informative..It is very important to understand how to optimize content and choose the right key words..I have myself a number of hubs on optimization..Thanks again for this great hub..
You get to the bottom of the problem most people have who are frustrated with the little they're making with adsense, which is: they haven't done their homework or research. Good work!
I think keyword research can be the hardest part for people.

Thanks for the info. I'm new and hope to also be useful.
Great hub, very helpful and informative..thanks for sharing! :)
This is very useful
Thanks for the good post
Thanx for the info very helpful
thanks for the tips!
its a frustrating playing field out there, seems like everything always ends up being more work than you bargained for
but anything worthwhile works out like that...
The keywords are useless without a good title that will eventually crawl up the google rankings. I change my Titles at least 6 times until I get one that gets me regular traffic, good hub though !
Very nice hub!!
Thanks for writing. This is good to know.
Does anyone still make a living off adsense anymore? I mean other than having a little pocket money for gas, is anyone able to actually pay the mortgage with this?
Did someone ever make a living from AdSense?
Now, from a few people on hubpages, Mark Knowles being one of the best for this, the answer is yes. ( I'd also check out Paul Edmondson) both men are great and are the masters around here.
If you're wondering yes, you can make money, but you need to do some reseach and that is what most don't want to do.
From my vantage point, yes Adsense, helps a lot but so do the affliate programs.
So from that the answer is yes you can.
I've always just regarded Adsense as a minor issue. I hope that it covers expenses and that's about it. This post has opened up the idea of actually making more than peanuts. Thanks.
Good post.
Interesting and informative. Thanks.
I'm wondering how much do you personally make
In terms of a rough figure
thanks for the information! I am new to hubpages so this helped a lot.
In all honesty, AdSense is pretty much the worst way to monetize ANY site right now, in my opinion..
I make money with Adsense.... it's steady and incremental and it takes time. The good thing is that the ads you put up today can keep paying month after month indefinitely. It adds up over time, and if you expand your sites / blogs, it can be very significant. A lot depends on your subject. some subjects are much more lucrative than others.

Very awesome hub =) I'll be happy with $1 right now though! Just getting started!
well, CSJun89 and paul I'll be frank my income is also steady and going up, so I expect by the end of next year this might in fact become a full time job, with teh earnings of a decent wage to boot.
Great Hub! I'm a newbie here but I've already figured out that it takes persistence and skill. I can improve my writing with practice and education. You can't buy persistence.
Hi Rebecca - I make around $ 2- $ 3 a day with my 48 hubs so hopefully if I ever get up to 500 hubs I will make $20 - $30 a day - which would be useful but it is quite a lot of work churning out 500 hubs.
What I would really like to know however is how this hub manged to get ranked 100 so quick ! What is your secret ?
persistance is one thing, but with a score of 100, that is another, I guess I'm lucky with that one. This is the hub that gets the most traffic I suspect that people enjoy the most.
Singualr Investor, I hope you do get to that point as well! Maybe even sooner than 500.
I dont use this for money, but that would be a great bonus, I just use it to express my feelings!
The key to earning with Adsense is and probably always will be in creating quality content and not just quantity. I've had days where a single hub can bring in $5-$7. You don't need to have hundreds of hubs to make money publishing your writing.
Thanks for the info.
Great hub
Thanks.
very informative hub.. I got to know many new things from this.. thanks for sharing..
Great Comment lender3212000, I believe that is the case, but to begin with getting the hubs to do that is hard, I made a lot of mistakes to begin with, until I learned a bit more.
"Now, from a few people on hubpages, Mark Knowles being one of the best for this, the answer is yes. ( I'd also check out Paul Edmondson) both men are great and are the masters around here. "
Forgive my cynicism, but unless you've seen the bank accounts, then all you have is hearsay.
nicomp,
not to worry I was in fact referring to teh fact that they can explain this whole Google AdSense better than I could ever do.
In terms of money, well I am with you, if someone tells me they make $1000 per month after only a month, well that is something I'd certainly disbelieve, mostly from my own experience, which is more than a year of blogging with three blogs, and steady income coming, but never $1000 a month yet...
Still... I can dream right?
I think it's fair to say that $1000 pm after just a month is very unlikely. This is more of a long-term drip-drip process that may end up at $1000, but only after a lot of hard work.
Nice hub btw!
Thanks for the informative hub. If I made $0.1 I'd be happy. I just want a confirmation that something can come forth. But most of all I'm jazzed to be writing.
Very nice Hub! I chose to write about Anime which is hardly a money maker keyword...
It's just about expectations like you wrote. I don't expect to make a lot, but at least I have fun dong it, since I write about something I really love.
I did not come here to make money. In fact, I feel there should be some sort of distinction between writers and salesmen here. I think there should be a difference between "ad" hubs and "literary" hubs.
This is true. I love Hubpages, but so far, for the information it provides. Writers here are very knowledgeable and they know stuff which I don't, so I could learn a lot definitely, including your hub here. As for earnings, oh well, I have to write more quality hubs then.. :(
Enjoy writing great hubs, I think that is what we all need to remember, the joy of writing!
Writers are very knowledgeable,I could learn a lot
I've been using adsense for years, and the money is there if you have the content.
Thank's! Realy Graet Hub
Thank you very much :)
Making money with Google Adsense is a science in need of constant tweaking and fine-tuning. The following steps might be useful:
1.- Pick a 4-season subject.
2.- Choose a captivating title.
3.- Do not let Google Adwords Keywords get in the way of your inspiration, while making sure they are incorporated in your article(s) (Do a Google Adwords Keywords search pre- and post- article writing to iron out discrepancies.), for quality content is king.
4.- Submit your articles to top search engines (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc.).
5.- Ping (Pingomatic) updated articles from time to time (to increase traffic), and last, but not least,
6.- Leverage Hubpages to explore other potential revenue earning avenues.
Interacting with your fellow Hubbers, as an added bonus, wouldn't hurt either in the furtherance of your money making endeavor.
In your pursuit of wealth and riches, do not, in the process, lose sight of the reason why you've embarked on a "writing career" to begin with: To have fun!
While implementation of the aforementioned strategy does not guarantee a Google Adsense Revenue windfall, it, nevertheless, maximizes your earning potential.
Google Adsense should be viewed, in the long run, as a "Double a Penny a Day for 30 Days" scheme. The earning potential- once realized- could be quite rewarding.
I hope my meager contribution hastens the pace at which you are attempting to reach Mount of Everest (shall we say Mount of Google) revenue peak, and helps in your quest to become the first Google Adsense millionaire on Hubpages. (LOL!)
Congratulations! Great hub.

i totally agree
please look at my hubs and comment
not a good hub but useful
I endevor to be of service to everyone =)
Be very very careful messing with Google AdWords campaigns though, because if you do not understand what they want and try to promote sites you don't know anything about Google will blame you and ban you!
Great point there about AdWords, I only recommend it in so far that one needs some knowledge, follow all of the contract rules that comes with bing a part of google AdWords/ AdSense
Oh -- I've got a lot to learn about making money on my hubs (creative writing doesn't pay). This helped a lot. Thank you! Camlo
Thanks Rebecca E.An eye opener indeed. You helped my tone down my expectations.I'm proud to be your latest fan.
Since I fairly new to both hubpages are Google Adsense, this has been valuable information. Continue to bring value and I will keep reading ;)! To Your Continued Success!
"Still... I can dream right?"
I'm dreamin' right with you!
Thank you! Very useful information.
i like your hub. very unique topic and really impressive way of writing...thanks...
Thank you Rebecca E.,
I just joined hubpages a few days ago this info. will be very helpful to me. I do intend to write about whats important to me. Hopefully it works out for me.
I'm always glad to help others.
Great hub and very informative. ;)
I just signed up so I apologize if I have no idea what's going on, but why would I work to make $100 a month blogging on hubpages when I could just put google ads on a random wordpress blog and maybe make as much if not more? One of the posters said that she has made a quarter, which seems sad to me. Setting up google ads are not hard (don't be scared of technical stuff, it's just following directions) and neither is setting up a domain/hosting it/etc. I don't want to bash hubpages since I just got here, but I'm pretty skeptical...
Setting up Google AdSense isn't hard as you've said Amy, however I've had a blog for more than a year, and it makes about the same as hubpages, only more slowly.
The biggest thing that people forget when dealing with hubpages or other blogging sites is that it isn't a get rich quick.
It's what you choose as your hub as well as your blog, a "radom" blog about making money will produce mroe than say a "random" blog/ hub about writing, it depends on your knowledge.
Well explained. Thank you....
I'm always glad to help.
Very helpful, I have had adsense on a personal blog for several months and hardly made anything, once I implemented it here on hubpages I saw an immediate difference- going from $0 earnings for the day to .96 in just a few hours.

for me it's all about helping other which i hope this hub does. If you like it Stumble it!
I agree!
Thank you, I've been trying for a while now...
Working on an adsense project myself. This was a good read.
thanks computer guy, hope your project works well.
You are very correct when you wrote this hub...thanks for the information...
I like your work Rebecca, I think carefully chosen topic really works well if you are interested in making money from Google. Most of the newbies lack patience-they want instantaneous result. You have pointed out some real good things like-What Are Your Expectations? very good hub.thanks.
Rebecca, I have been here for six months and I appreciate your article, it's fresh and a great reminder. I love to write but I need to be creative when writing too. The adwords is an excellent reminder. great tips, Thank you very much.
Thanks a lot for this as I need all the help I can receive.
Hello Rebecca, great article. AdSense reminds me of an old saying; "Rome was not built in a day." Big empires and big money all take time. As long as the foundation is strong and built on solid ground, the earnings from AdSense will continue to rise.
Bob
Nice article thanks Rebecca; very informative for a HubPage newbie!
You offer sensible, excellent advice. Thank you!
Well this is informative for the new and old alike ! Great advice. :)
There are somedays when I reread this myself!
Thanks this is very nice hub.. i would keep ur tips in mind.
Good advice, patience is the key, and writing interesting articles that people will find of use.
or as I say patience and a bit of work.
Great article, I just signed up today and this was the first hub I've read and I'm glad I did.
Thats for the great info.
I loved the title of it ... lol. Jokes apart, this hub is gonna be helpful for me.
Good and helpful info I am not sure how long it will take, but I have a blog, and this will help
That's what this hub is here for, all jokes aside with the title!
Very good tips! Thank you for sharing. Hope to see more great hubs from you.
As always gald to be of service, I'll do my best.
good article and good comments ...I feel I'm beginning to learn a little...so thank you and everybody with a comment
Glad to be of service carynwon, but it takes all the others who comment to make it work.
All I can say is that you need to be focused. Make some good keyword research and then use that keyword in your hub topic. I am sure you will receive a lot of traffic and thus a lot of money from your hub pages.
Keywords are vital, but if you don't understadn them, work on quality. and basic marketing such as stumble upon and digg and emailing to friends.
Helpful as always Rebecca. I can honestly say I did not come here to earn an income. But I can slowly see that happening. I'm glad to hear that you are seeing an increase. This is certainly the type of article that will get you there! Good work
Great Hub. I bought an ebook regarding this and I paid about $5.99 and then was charged with something else that I did not order. Reading your hub is better than what I did in the past. Your hub is so informative.
VERY informative. And best thing is that article author wrote some little secrets. BTW some of comments are gems.

Thanks Rebecca. I guess I'll just have to hang in there a little longer
this is very educational. nice post!
I think I'm missing the time factor AND the intelligence factor, haha
no, just the time factor, wymyczak66
mine is definately the intelligence factor!
bill yon made a point of getting a blog, and yes he is partly right but here the big thing: I have had a blog for more than a year and since it is a niche market on writing, well it gets traffic but not mnay clicks, but my name is still out there.
Nice hub.
Thanks for the great info. I really appreciate your honesty.
Some very useful information. Thank you
nice hub.making money through hubs is very possible.
yes itcoll it is possible, and many have done it.
I agree it is not the easy thing to do but persistance pays off!
I've never really viewed Adsense as a viable way to earn, even pocket change.
I don't get it. How do we make money with adsense using our hub? I thought only hub pages makes money with adsense? I was thinking about using http://nanogreens-pro-omega.com to try the adsense program.
Nanogreens10, yes you do PROVIDED you give hubpages your AdSense id to get a split, meaning 60% of clicks go to you and 40% goes to hubpages. See FAQs on help for betterinfo.
I just read your hub, and I must admit I'm still at a loss as to how to make money with Adsense, here on hubpages. I actually am writing because I've learned to love to write. However, along the way I would like to make a little. Thanks for the info you provided.
fasfreda, it's more of teh 60/40 psplit thing, Ayou'll get clicks eventually, and it took me a while to figure it all out.
i'm hoping this will help all of us, if you have any more comment speak up!
Very informative. I guess keywords hold the key!
yes JS Keywords do!
a great hub. better and more information than the ebook I bought about earning through adsence.
thanks luin

It's definitely rough getting started and trying to figure out which route you want to go with your marketing. The key is to find something you like that works and do it over and over again! Great hub!
Thanks Tyson, and i'd add again and again.
My Google Adsense payments used to pay for my car payment every other month. Then my websites were penalized for using payperpost and textlinkads. I had many blogs, all on the first page for different keywords. When I got Google slapped, they were buried on the 7th-9th page.
It's been several years, I still haven't gotten page rank for many of my sites. However, this week I finally got most of them back on the first page and my adsense is picking up.
I learned two very important lesson: don't depend on one method of making money online and build a list (or a following).
Enjoyed reading your hub!
:)
I've that happen before supermom in ny, and some of the more "bigger" sites as well. So At least they are coming back.
