Underground Atlanta is a fascinating and entertaining addition to the street level activities. It is a portion of the city that was built below the many train viaducts that carried automobile traffic over the tracks. The Underground is full of dining, shopping, and entertainment possibilities and a vibrant night life. Antiques and upscale home furnishings are high growth retail items in the Atlanta region, and the city enjoys several sales conventions related to these products each year, adding to the excitement of the Underground and the street level festivities.

Franklin Residential College
The Franklin Residential College (FRC) is a unique and innovative residential college in Atlanta. It is built on the model of the Oxford and Cambridge systems in England, where faculty and students live in community.
Successfully founded in the year 2000, FRC is an educational facility and a comprehensive residential system that joins the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, the USG University Housing Office, and the Vice President of Instruction in a close partnership that serves students, staff, and faculty.
