Unlockable : Extra Costumes
You need extra costumes. To get them, complete level 3 bets at the PMC Villa with your friends. To get the best results bet maximum cash in the first two levels of the challenge. To make sure that you win, manually save the game and reload. Bet the least amount of money in the 3rd level. You have to be perfect to at this level to beat a challenge.
Spare Parts Unlockables
Get the spare parts for Eva, located in many parts of Venezuela, to unlock Achievements in Xbox 36. They are the orange boxes in the map.
Angreifer: 30 parts

Bogden Buggy: 60 parts
Scorcher: 50 parts
The Norse Wind: 20 parts
Triton Patrol Boat: 80 parts
Urban Commando: 100 parts
Vulcan 4x4: 70 parts
Hint : 100% Completion
Make sure that you finish all outpost missions before you go for the final story mission, that is Battle for Caracas / A.N. or China. Once the game is cleared, you can't start outpost missions again, which unlocks a faction's shop items.

Melee Bash:
If at all anything is hindering your way, let it be vehicles or any other objects, just melee bash it away.
Make Cash From Hostiles:
Hostile units drop cash and weapons when you kill them.
Some Other Hints
- Use the handbrake to quickly slide and turn if you are using a fast vehicle.
- With a helicopter pilot at the PMC you can extract fuel, ammunitions and cash bundles. But if those items belong to a faction, make sure they don't see you do it.
- Add a mechanic to your PMC. And you can unlock and purchase vehicles directly. Some of these vehicles carry features which can only made available through the mechanic.
- Find more spare parts and the mechanic can build special vehicles.
- Recruit a jet pilot. Now you can make as many air stike as you want.
- Capture High Value Targetsalive to double your cash.
Scour the world. Gather cash bundles, fuel tanks, ammunitions etc to use in your operations.
Don't hurt civilians. You lose money.
- Use C4, RPG and anti-tank rockets if you can't inflict much damage on your targets.
- Meet as many factions as possible, so that you can explore more areas of the map.

for "eat the heat" just keep burning out.. (brake + accel) and hold it there for a minute.. it will pop up. I did mine in the explore section and not a mission but doubt it makes a difference

i dont no if this is just me or not but i was playing some of the last levels for china and i couldnt die... it would take me down to the red screen where i will be about to die but never go down from there and would stay like this untill i found a health pack... and when i got into tanks or cars they wouldnt loose there health either... but i do not know how i did it. i have ideas but not possitive 1. thats how the game is made to be for those levels 2. i had the same game session going for about 8 hours without going to the home screen or turning off my xbox so maybe staying in the same game for long periods of time give you this... becuase as soon as i returned to the home screen after i bet the last level and went back into the game i could die... try it out tell me what happens

Mercs developers have said there are no cheats for Mercs 2, the PS2 version has similar cheats to Mercs 1 but none for the 360 version because they would block achievments. And nobody wants that. Add me Gamertag is iCrakerfu

Ok, I wil tell you how to get lots of money in Mercs 2.First get the helicopter pilot and do his whinching challenge over and over to not touch the change wager option it starts at 10 mill and goes up to 50 mill its like a min of work very easy 50 mill, got me the billion dollar babies achievment fast. And Xtrem its not your first 1,000,000 its your first 1,000,000 earned so keep doing missions and you'll get the achievment.I beat game in 2 days and got 1000/1000 gamerscore for game, post a comment with any questions and ill answer the best I can.

Hi all. I got my sniper achievement it unlocked when i finished the game, also strange thing got other achievements too, ie Capture all HVT's even though i killed most of them throughtout the game. All i have to do now is Unlock all shop items YEE. My gamertag is GypsyGirls so if anyone wants to play with nuke then join game. By the way to fly the helicopter its (A) to go up (B) to go down, forward using L stick, to switch bombs is RB (this is on XBOX360)

Here are cheats for the PS2 version. Enter the following in the PDA Factions section...you know where they show if the factions are either hostile, friendly or not. Use the D-pad and you'll hear a confirm chime if you entered the codes correctly. NOTE: You may have to enter the codes again once you complete or accept a mission. When the bunker buster doesn't work, and Fiona is being attacked, how do you grab the winch on the attack helo in order to fly back without dying? I'm getting tired of trying over and over and over.

THEN AFTER YOU GET IT YOULL HAVE TO TAKE ON TANKS AT THE PMD (WHERE EVA IS). FIRST TAKE OUT THE TWO AA TANKS FLY DOWN AND TRY TO TAKE OVER ONE OF THEM. (THIS WILL KEEP THE OTHER TANKS FROM RUSHING IN RIGHT AWAY). THEN EXIT YOUR AA TANK AND SHOOT THE TANKS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BUILDING. YOU MIGHT NOT GET THEM ALL SO JUMP BACK INTO THE AA TANK AND FIRE AT THEM AGAIN UNTILL NONE ARE LEFT. THEN ENTER THE BUILDING. thanks u say. My problem is I hide until the chopper comes and then I move out to get under it. But I can't get the grapple to light up(y). Is there a special place to hide? Is there a special place to lure the chopper to? What is your technique?

I did find a glitch for the game. If you want to unlock evas vehicles quicker. You can fly over places where you have already found a part and its should come up with the message saying you have found a part, and you will get the money again.

For easy money. Pre-stack containers for the winching challenge using large crates or gas containers. if you stack them in the proper area, all you need to do is start the winching challenge, bet the max, and then just place the kit on the pre-stacked containers. as long as the containers are in the zone it will work. 20 seconds - 5 Mil.

Sounds like you are playing Mercs 1. The Nuke is only in Mercs 2. And the last shop item in Mercs 1 contains cheat weapons. You can get the cheat from cheatcc.com.

You can also steal supplies from factions without getting reported. Hijack a helecoptor, transport the supply yourself to an isolated area, and call in the resource pick up. Because no one is there to see you, you won't get reported. If you get spotted by that faction's chopper, they can't report you and can only attack you.

QUICK $1 BILLION
Take one of the helecopters over to the stadium (a little south of PMC) and pick up a container there and bring it back. Then use 2 of the containers provided. The next time get another one and use 1 of the containers provided. The third time get another container. The containers from the stadium do NOT disapear each time. I got a BILLION in a bout an hour and a half.

Easy way to get costumes, at least for me. The pistol and grenade luancher launcher challenges were easy for me, they just take skill but I haven't tried this method with them.
But I picked up a airstrike and flew it to where the machine gun emplacement is and set it there. When I tried the challenge, the airstrike was still there. I shot it and cleared the machine gun challenge in 5 seconds, the recoilless rifle takes skill, all I can say is aim for the target the moment the yellow triangle shows up on the map. Grenade launcher, you could see if you drop another strike there, but I just pulled the trigger and didn't let go. And the chicken suit is worth it.
Sniper, still takes skill, but if you blow up all the trees in your yard it makes the challenge a lot easier. Try the airstrike method again, who knows. By the way I am at 98.8%. The only missions I have left are the battle for Caracas for both factions. Is there a way to do both? Do I still get 100% if I onlt do one side?

Geez, some of you are complete idiots.
But anyway... I don't really need cheats for the main storyline of the game. It would be nice to have cheats for the level 3 target practice challenges at the PMC, though. I mean, I know they're all possible without cheats, but it's a major pain in the ***, sort of like earning all golds in the license tests in the Gran Turismo games -- requires perfect timing and a whole lot of patience.
As for the rest of the game... well, many people have already mentioned the level 3 winching challenge for earning tons of money. The challenge is quite simple, even without using the stadium exploit. And somebody else already mentioned how to steal oil, etc., from friendly factions without getting reported (get a heli, winch it out of faction sight, set it down and call for a resource pickup). I should also mention that you can pretty much get away with hijacking vehicles from friendly factions without getting reported -- this can come in handy if you're looking for a helicopter for quick transport.
As for the spare parts, I do believe you need to find all 100 in order to get 100% game completion. I could be wrong, though. On my game, I seem to have triggered a glitch, however, that allows me to pick up the same spare parts multiple times simply by flying over the spare part locations in a helicopter. I don't know how I managed to trigger that, but I'm not complaining -- I have almost 80/100 spare parts collected, even though I only physically collected about 35 or so.
One other thing that would come in handy is a list of all the vehicles, and the particular button combinations needed to hijack them. It's not so bad when hijacking some vehicles, but others can give you problems if you don't successfully hijack them the first time (tanks sometimes run you over, shoot you with their cannons, etc.)... and attempting to hijack a helicopter can be damn near suicidal if you aren't successful (depending on the heli's altitude when you are kicked back to the ground). I had most of the early ones memorized, but now that I'm dealing with China and the AN, there are a lot more vehicles to figure out (and some of the Chinese tanks, in particular, give me all kinds of hell when I have to mash the B button repeatedly -- I guess I'm not doing it fast enough, or something, because it usually takes 2 or 3 tries before I'm successful).
Oh yeah, and somebody asked how do you hijack a heli, like why the grapple option wasn't coming up... the answer is, you can only grapple from so far away. If the helicopter is too high up, or keeps backing away from you, you won't be able to grapple it. The best thing to do is to hide behind something and lure the helicopter closer... then quickly dart out, get the copter in your sight, and hit the Y button (xbox) before it manages to back away again.
Another glitch I seem to have noticed is, in certain areas -- particularly after taking over an outpost (but before actually entering the outpost) -- that airstrikes and bombing run pickups seem to respawn if you move a far enough distance away, and then back to them. Sometimes they respawn as different strike types, too, so it pays to do this a number of times to build up your airstrike supply. This doesn't work everywhere, though, and it will not work any more once the other faction has taken over and converted all of the airstrike pickups into fuel tanks.
Ah, yes, and another tip: when doing some of the more difficult side missions for the different factions, it may benefit you to go through and clear out any heavy opposition before getting in the vehicle that will trigger the mission timer. Like on some of the Pirate transport missions, you will get attacked by helicopters armed with anti-tank missiles that will destroy your vehicle in one shot -- it pays to take out these helis before getting in the transport truck. Same for the PLAV boat prototype mission -- between the minefields, enemy boats, and RPG-toting soldiers on the shores, level 3 might be too much to handle unless you go through (with a different vehicle) and clear out the bulk of your opposition before jumping in the boat. The boat is relatively fragile, and you've got a long way to travel while managing to keep it in one piece.
All in all, this is a fairly good game. Completely destructable environments, lots of different things to do and vehicles to drive, tons of different weapons and airstrikes to play with, etc. A.I. is not phenomenal, but I find it is fairly decent for a game of this type. Sure, there are glitches, but not all of them are bad glitches. Many of them work out in your favor (like when I was doing one of the Pirates' transport missions, and for some reason the VZ guys all decided not to shoot at me any more). But all minor complaints aside, I thoroughly enjoy this game. I mean, what could be more satisfying than the opportunity to virtually level an entire South American country, just for the hell of it? The blinding explosions and seeing massive buildings crumble are reasons enough to play this game, if nothing else.
I can get the PDA up and then enter the cheat menu thing. then i exit and accept the message.. i go back on pda and there i type the cheats in but they dont work.. can somebody help me?

In the villa, when the tank roars thru the wall, you press 'E' to jump up on the tank and then 'F' to crack the hatch. At that point you get a prompt with a logo of feet and arrows. What button do you push to finish hijacking the tank?

You guys need to stop worrying so much about your fucking cheats! The game is simple; the hardest parts being maybe some of the Level 3 challengews offered by some factions like the PLAV prototype boat. Cheats don't help you, they don't make the game fun; infact they fucking drain the life out of the game itself!
you need to first download the upgrade for buddha's cheats to work.
At the start menu, when you connect to ea, there was a banner telling about cheats.
Download it, then try Buddhas cheats.
Unfortunately, there is no money cheat that will work on mercenaries 2.

A great method to get tonnes of cash involves the winching challenge and two fuel tanks. During the challenge fly off and the nick two large fuel tanks, place one partly inside the yellow ring and the other on top leaving enough room between the edge of the tank and the ring for the tool box to sit. If placed correctly the fuel tanks should be exactly 7 meters tall so all you need to do is place the toolbox on top. The best part of this method is that the fuel tanks don't dissapear after the challenge is completed therefore you can get the rewards very quickly. Combine this with iCrakerfu's method for increasing the minimumbet and soon you'llberollingin cash.
