A Wonderful Miracle -- Poem for Our Son

Enjoy our inspiration with this melody... Thanks!

A Wonderful Miracle!

Born with the century plus two years

A Christmas baby to join his peers

A son that bears our name and our ways

A human being that will bring a change

Holding the palm of your hands I try to read the unpredictable

tracing the word M as in might or maybe miracle

I hold your other little hand and I trace again a 'W'

Coming into my mind the logical word: wonderful

Embracing your little hands and kissing both of them

I close the circle of life that need not much explaining

Wonderful Miracle indeed you are sweet son

Having my ways and that heart that never will go wrong

Writing these words before I might be gone

You will understand your dad better than before

Still fragile to make your own moves

Just take your time and seek the whole truth

Diagnosed yourself with 'PDD' changed my life for sure

Autism is not a barrier between me and my own son

wonderful miracle you are trying to reach for your dad

catching up with my ways and smiling with me so far

Little by little you are waking up to a normal life

starting to put together what was left behind

writing this piece with tears, because I know...

One day you will read these words from up above

Wonderful miracle you are indeed

computers are as easy as one, two and three

Amazing qualities that you already have within

they are starting to come out as told by Dr. Quinn

Hope one day to walk together on that road of life

saying more than just "I love you's" angel of mine

Miracle, wonderful miracle you really are

at six you began to call me "dad" and that made me cry...

Now you are older and wiser for sure

time hasn't passed in vain, dear son

You try to start a conversation of your own

before, was just looking the other way with no reason at all

A wonderful life is catching up with our unfinished songs

no more rocking chair non stop when you were 5 months old

Now we can play a game, go bowling and cry of joy

Wonderful miracle... I'm using the bathroom... would you close the door?

Lord....Nothing comes close to touching my heart and soul as the love and unbreakable bond between parent and child. Children are miracles.....the most stunning of all miracles. Beautiful, precious tiny beings who grow before our eyes........giving us joy as well as worries......making us so very grateful and proud...........this is awesome. Your son is blessed too.......because you are his Dad. UP+++

Every good and perfect gift is from Heaven above, and your son is perfect and so very blessed to have you as his dad. This is stunningly beautiful and precious. You have touched my heart deep into my soul, and it makes me think of my beautiful children and grandchildren. They are miracles no doubt. Thank you for sharing your beautiful heart here in this piece, lord. This made me cry tears of joy for you and your son. God bless you always and your son too. In His Love, Faith Reaper

ImKarn23, you arre so funny! Is a draw of course

@ KjForce, is not easy to have a life if we don't know how to face this pandemic issue, as MissOlive should know better. We do our best, and expect a miracle. All cases have a different outcome, and we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel

@Thanksd Mhatter99, we will visit your hubs soon. You always check on us. Much appreciated!

@Rusty McCollun,

You are a mom and know better. Words try to express feelings, and we think we did good. We did cry a couple of times, and typos came around. But the piece was written from within... Thanks for stopping by!

Lord

Voted up and beautiful. A very wonderful tribute to the love and the joy of living and sharing between a father and son.

My heart was touched with sadness and at the same time rejoiced in the miracle of the life God has trusted to your care. We don't get to select our children nor the problems some of them are born with. They are given to us for a short time, to love, to nurture, to cherish, to raise. My prayers are with you & your son, for continued improvement & progress in his overcoming the disorder he was born with. God bless you!

Voted up, awesome & beautiful!
