My Jesus, My Savior: A Poem

"I am the vine; you are the branches..." John 15:5-8
"I am the vine; you are the branches..." John 15:5-8 | Source

Leaves are growing

My heart is showing

You're not gonna leave

For me You've already grieved

My Jesus, My Savior

You are the flourishing vine

You are more than divine

Jesus, you see my thorns

My rebellious branches have shown scorn

You still extend your growth, my Jesus, My Savior

Help me to sprout after You prune,

Closer towards Your branches I will bloom,

I want to produce bountiful fruit from my heart,

I know You've wanted that yield from the start,

My Jesus, My Savior...

Reminds me of John 15.

I like the testimony.

Voted up.

YW. It was the vine ref. and about pruning the branches that reminded me of that chapter.

Beutiful! It's like you know what's been on my heart lately. God bless you for using your talent to testify of and glorify Him.

I was just re-reading this and I'm also reminded of the Parable of the Sower and of the good ground that bears fruit.

It's a searching parable, I think.

(I voted beautiful.)

Yes, I can see how you made the connection with these parables.
