This One Special Moment In Time.
Yesterday Dai being a Taxi driver had a trip to a small village about fifty miles up North called Pontrhydfendigaid and I went along for the ride.
I was so glad I had my phone/camera in my bag because I was surrounded by some of Mother Nature's most beautiful creations.
We were there for less than an hour and we had nearly every weather imaginable.
The sun shone;the wind picked up;the dark clouds loomed;it rained which then developed to hailstones and sleet !!!
However for some reason the day was special ;it filled my being with a sense of all being well.
Of telling me that I will always cope with life's ups and downs!!
From deep within I understood that the different weathers were a picture of what life is all about.
Sometimes sunny ;sometimes dull,sometimes happy;sometimes sad.
There was no outward significance at all to the day except that I felt my whole inner being telling me that I had learnt a lesson ;alright a lesson which wasn't exactly new to me but it emphasised what I had already felt.
Yesterday to me will always be "This One Special Moment In Time" and will always be etched in my mind and heart !!!
On this very day
of no great significance
I was to
experience
more
of
Mother Nature's
wondrous charm.
A journey taken
through
green
luscious fields
over
each minute mountain;
But mountains nevertheless!!
Slight soft but cheeky drizzles
enhancing that feeling of
a heart so happy!!!
A spirit flying freely!!
Bird songs injecting each eager heart
along that country lane;
that awesome
country cottage.
Those swelling winds
enveloping in
sweet tender love.
Flowing freely
as blue skies slowly retreat
to be replaced by those
grey clouds
that
come
looming through!!
Yet my full heart
remains
enchanted
bewitched
today
and
forevermore.
A crisp sprinkling
of hailstones
with
a great beam of sunshine;
I deeply inhale
learning sweet Mother Nature's
lessons of life!!
A story book maybe to be named
"Sunglasses and Welly Boots."
A myriad of shades on an artists palette
from blues to greys
from browns to greens
each shade amazing
each texture fulfilling
each contour a story untold.
A flowing landscape
its beauty softly gripping
glowing through
daylight visions.
A babbling brook!
A bridge so quaint.
To shelter in a cave of natural formation.
Mother nature's sweet essence unfolds.
Warm in their fleecy
snow-white
woollen coats
sheep's
bleating their welcome.
Chickens and ducks
pecking and waddling.
Horses neighing
their noses reaching
for
that much enjoyed
stroke.
Their scent so sweet
the feeling
so soft as they
warmly
nuzzled
against my cheek.
A step back in time
to a wondrous
'Strata Florida Abbey!!'
named rather grandly !!!
Gates locked but mystique still
sensed!!
Gravestones with a story to tell
So well kept
a feeling of love and care.
My heart and soul
inhaling each treasure.
Smiling I bade farewell.
I say farewell to this creation so wondrous ;
A Welsh Lady in all her splendour.
A carving of love and passion.
Her proud stance
silently tells all
and
together we say;
"Thank you Mother Nature"x
"Thank you for this one special moment in time" x
I know nothing at all about Strata Florida Abbey but will do a little research and this will be created into a future hub.
