If you had to write an autobiography could you do it?

My next book, under contract, is to write my autobiography. This may sound like the easiest thing to do but try writing your bio for a book and then amplify that by a thousand. It is no where near as easy as it sounds. So, honestly, how hard would it be for you to write you own bio or autobiography?

Of course. As Jerzy Kosinski said, "Some of it is true, some might be true and some could be true." Embellishments are good.

Yes, I could write an autobiography! I just don't think people would find it very interesting.

Hi W K Hayes, congratulations for the contract for your autobio. Interesting question. Indeed it is difficult to write about yourself. As an aside, I have found one more difficult thing. I am a marketing professional, but at times, I have found it hard to market my own work. Sometimes the things you think are important are not important to your clients. It is easier to market someone else's work. Passion comes in the way when we begin to write about our own stuff. Here's what I do. I find it easier to look at my skills, services or products as that of someone else, and I kind of hire my own services. That makes my job a bit easier.

    Hi,
I could. But it would probably be very short and an extremely tedious read for people.

I could write my autobiography, but at this point I'm certain that no one would read it. That said, I know I can write a biography and am currently helping my husband (who has led a much more eventful life) write his. It's a lot of work trying to ferret out the fascinating details, take out everything boring that doesn't support the interesting stuff, and organize everything into a read-worthy memoir.

I already have written my autobiography through hubpages with my answers to questions. I now have an blockbusting hit with my 1 unpublished hub that gets 100 percent referring sites traffic for my 1 article that is seen around the world in 8 countries: United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, Australia, Japan, Brazil, China. Some cities are: New York City, New York; San Francisco, Ca.; Pelato, Brazil; Wuhan, China.

No. It would be a waste of time. Nobody wants to read highly uninteresting books (:

I self published my own, but no one bought it, except for some family and it's on blurb.com, so it's not got exposure.

But now as I reread it, I realize it has many things to be looked for. It's not the best I could do. It's about 104 pages. I think it would a lengthy project. I think it's very hard to do, and how to make it interesting. The only thing I could maybe write, besides my experience w/ bipolar and being christian, and poetry, would be to talk about the antics of my family.
