Why is it so hard to write sometimes?

I feel like after all this time, shouldn't it be easier to sit down and write. It's HARDER lol.... it's like I'm in a perpetual state of procrastination. Anyone have this problem too?

Well, while some people have the knack for writing interesting and provocative essays, others do not have that refined skill to do so. Writing well usually takes a lot of investment, including reading lots of content and having a critical thinking. That skill can be learned, just like doing magic tricks, developing persuasive communication or cooking palatable dishes.

The reason why it is hard to write sometimes is that we reject ideas that are deemed nonsensical. It is better to type out any idea that comes into your mind than to wait and ponder which words to choose and construct. It is also because we do not have a goal in mind, which can be remedied if we want to earn revenue through our writing content. In that way, we will strive to write better because we are motivated, for money.

I agree. Though my frustration is towards my creative works... My articles actually come easier to me.

Yes, I think we all get "Writer's block" from time to time. I think the reason being is we have so much going on in our minds at the time. What I try to do is make sure the room is quite without any outside distractions, then I try and clear my mind of everything else except creating a topic to write about. This seems to work for me, although at times I just don't feel like writing. If we write when we feel this way, the quality will suffer. Good luck.

I don't necessarily get "Writer's Block"... I just don't sit down to do it. It's just a matter of easing myself out of being distracted by life... and the desire to do everything but what I need to do.

I know exactly how you feel. Set some quiet time alone for yourself.

One easy way is to fill the mind up with new combinations from older ideas. Its easier than just using imagination. Anybody who writes movies, music or books will grab as many influences as possible. Then mix it all up and come up with something spectacular. Some call it creative borrowing. Every great writer has influences though they may not reveal them to the public. Others may channel the material if they know how.

I understand what you are talking about as to finding it harder to write sometimes. I can have tons of ideas to write about, but need to be in the right mood to make the flow of words sound appealing to an audience. Writer's block is not the only problem  stopping us.

Its natural.Sometime we are haunted or obstructed from creating certain types of composition. This is beause of some reasons .Ideas ,thoughts are to be gathered to write tremendously .If you are not thinking about the subject of which you are going to write about ,you can not write a single word fundamentally or originally or you can make hotchpotch of words.

Another most important condition for writing for you is to be inspired or motivated.

Yeah I had that problem, had so many journals that I would write in and one day my sister had enough of all my journals told me to get rid of them, so I did. After that my writing habits changed to where I was not writing that much and I couldn't write, but now I am getting back into writing and so happy for it.
