    my front loading washing smells musty. it is used lots so it is not old stagnant water. what can i

    use to refresh it. i am ready to throw out my towels they smell so bad

    With a front loading machine after you finish the laundry it is best to leave the door open and let it air out.  Other wise you may have to run the machine with no laundry and add some bleach to the water.

    Front loading washing machines hold water. I would also  leave the door open or ajar. Before that, take an old towel and wipe under and between the rubber front lining. There is always water standing in there. And on a regular basis, like once a month, run a wash cycle with hot bleach water. You may be able to control the musty smell that way.
