Hello, I was reading your article on unemployment and was wondering what your opinion is on the likelihood of me receiving unemployment from my previous employer. I would have been employed by the company for one year today 9/13. My doctor decided to take me off of work on 09/02 for elevated blood pressure because I am currently pregnant. Today I received a letter stating that I was terminated because of excessive absences and that I do not qualify for FMLA. I have had one verbal warning for absences before, but I have been sick, and my daughter had surgery, and I am only allowed 38 hours.
