Perhaps that's what some in our government really want. Now you know if the government can't agree then I would think Obama could threathen to delare an emergency, a bank holiday and maybe even martial law.

Our government officials have simply neglected to approve a BUDGET.  Which means a sort of government shutdown untill a budget is approved.  Some government employees may not get paychecks due to this problem.. It is all POLITICAL motivated so the dems and repubs can point at each other and blame everyone.

We are not ABOLISHING our government.  However, I do believe our government is in danger of failure due to massive spending and DEBT our officials have done for many years.

The military may do that in the end. Secretary Gates prophesied that a few days ago in a speech.

Why would we every do that...Other than the fact that it's happening right now (And Obama's on his 14th vacation just as the US gov is in turmoil, how convenient), their is no good reason to abolish a government. It's like the government saying, ok, no more laws, and good luck protecting yourselves everyone, peace. No good benefits from it

Abolish is not the right word.  The government was going to shut down because a budget had not been settled on-meaning there were no funds freed up to pay government workers.  It does not really have much effect on the rest of us who are not government workers, or on Social Security or have a government pension.

This kind of thing happens all the time and it is just a bunch of hot air and empty threats.  It will be resolved.

I wasn't saying the shut down is abolishment.
I was asking when is it necessary to abolish the government.

hope it never happens. look what happens when there is turmoil in the U.S. riots, looting, murder etc. the U.S. isn't capable of surviving something like abolishing the government and i don't know why you folks would want to. you got rid of bush and his cronies, so you should be happy.

Never. There are many legitimate functions of government. Despite what some believe, Homo sapiens are only a few seconds (geological scale) from baboons. We need a government to control conflicts between each other and outsiders.
What we don’t need is a government that tries to tell us how to run every aspect of our lives. But the weak have discovered they can band together and use the force of government to impose their will on everyone else. And this trend is accelerating so fast that the logical outcome can been seen. And it’s not a Democratic republic form of government!
The size of government MUST be reduced, or we need to accept the fact that the good ole USA is gone! We became a superpower through the hard work and innovation that a free, capitalistic society fosters. This has been very much transformed. Look at the result. We are not respected, and the dollar will soon be worth a lot less. Only the retarded or insane expect more of the same to produce better results.
Let’s not abolish the government, but we really need to reduce its size and rebuild only the parts that work.

Americans can abolish their government at any time they see fit - the same as any nation.  I believe that this is why we are seeing more and more misinformation, disinformation, and all out theft by government.  So long as we allow European Ashkenazi Jews to control the central banks of every nation (and especially ours) - then no nation will be a free nation.
